Could it be that with age we just get more realistic on what it REALLY takes to achieve certain goals?

We used to work hard on a hope and a prayer, now we need more certainty.

That's an awesome guide! Thanks for adding my starter pack

We added the Ahrefs analytics snippet to our side project yesterday, just to see how it goes before committing.

So far none of the alternatives have really been worth it to me, I learned how to create explorations and reports in GA4 instead

Yeah even for a free product that's valuable

Just had somebody book a demo for our side project which doesn't even have a demo page. They found our main app and used that calendly link.

Would you say no to the call or take it as an opportunity to talk to a potential customer?

Did a couple sponsorships that turned out to have wildly inflated audience numbers. Turns out media companies can be pretty lucrative (for the publisher) so there's that.

We use Statamic and it pushes content changes back to github. Has saved my bacon many times

We have some of that as well - people trying to start different businesses over the years. They cancel, sign up for a new company and repeat until something takes off.

Shows how important helping all customers no matter the size is.

I try to do ALL THE THINGS cause at least one of them is bound to go well on any given day. Diversification!

What's the play, do you ban IPs that attempt to log in?

Experienced people but not at the level where they've gotten used to working with large sales teams or big marketing budgets.

Curious how you feel about your side projects like Hook Relay. Has it generally been worth it?

We’ve done a small side app as well and it’s always a second priority. Might as well be the 100th priority because the main thing has endless needs lol

Good point, that makes total sense. Also less commitment than hiring right away

Sure thing!

We noticed there wasn’t an agency starter pack out there, so we decided to make one!

If you’re an owner, marketer, or creative navigating the challenges of agency client work, take a look and let me know if you want to join!

I dunno about you but we have people deleting stuff willy nilly and asking to get it back.

Soft deletes on users have been extremely helpful for that, even with the added complexity.
