Can’t believe the news, Disney shutting down the marvel. vis dev department. This teams art made them billions and billions of dollars, but it seems that paying a handful or so of fulltime illustrators is simply too much to ask these days.

I'm not even really a copyright cop. But come on. Don't just pirate every damn thing because you think you're magically entitled to.
So Kindle is removing tech support from its device, pretty much requiring people to buy new ones, and introducing ads. This is why we sell our ReBound press books on Kobo. Also for ideological reasons: Amazon has been terribly destructive too booksellers and publishers, and I refuse to support it.

Actually, scumbags who hate other races, glorify fascists, and fetishise power have no place in even an aggressive music like metal. Because anger in good art must be righteous. Or it is bad art. That's all there is to it.
I have problematic faves (Morrissey, Cioran, Picasso) but I'm not blind.

Alice Augusta Ball found the cure for leprosy at 23.
She died in a mysterious lab accident at 24.
Arthur Dean stole her research, stole it and renamed it from "The Ball Method" to "The Dean Method."
It took 90 years before her original research papers were found and she got the credit due to her.

Vintage black-and-white studio portrait of American biochemist Florence Barbara Seibert (1897–1991), shown from the shoulders up. The young woman has short, dark, wavy 1920s-style hair parted on the side, wears round wire-rimmed eyeglasses, and offers a gentle smile toward the camera. She is dressed in a light-colored blouse with a ruffled collar. A studio imprint reading “A. F. R. S. Chicago” appears in the lower right corner.
Biochemist Florence Seibert developed the Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) in the 1930s. Before her work, TB skin tests were inconsistent & unreliable. Her PPD formula was adopted as the internat'l standard (1952) & remains the gold standard for TB testing today.
