Almost 900 miles worth of a Tornado Watch is in place through Friday evening, April 17th.
From Wisconsin, through Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, to the edge of Texas. Very large hail and dangerous tornadoes are possible. If you know anyone in this path, give 'em a heads up.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place for SE Nebraska into northeast Kansas, NW Missouri, and southern Iowa until 2am. Large hail is the main concern.

A Severe T-storm Warning is in place for Jefferson and Gage counties through 1030pm. 1" hail and 60 mph wind possible as the storm moves northeast at 50 mph.

SE Nebraska into northeast Kansas, NW Missouri, and SW Iowa is being monitored for a possible (60% chance) severe weather watch.
SEVERE WEATHER POTENTIAL: Tuesday, April 14th
Strong to severe storms will try to form after sunset in eastern Nebraska Tuesday evening and then move east rather quickly. Large hail is the main concern but damaging wind and quick spin up tornadoes are possible.
A Severe T-storm Watch is in place for Knox, Cedar, and Dixon counties in far northeast Nebraska through Monday evening. Storms that form in this watch area will be moving northeast into South Dakota and NW Iowa.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for most of south central Nebraska through 11pm Saturday, April 11th. Along with tornadoes, large hail and damaging wind will be possible.
South central and southeast Nebraska has been upgraded to a level 2 "Slight Risk" for severe storms late Saturday afternoon into the evening.
Large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes are possible if storms are able to get going. They will be tracking from southwest to northeast.
Early Saturday will see some showers and thunderstorms rolling through eastern Nebraska. A couple of the storms could be strong to severe, but that won't be widespread. Hopefully we just get some much needed rain!

South central and SE Nebraska is on the edge of a severe wx threat. After AM storms, a stronger batch of storms is expected after 4pm in the green shaded area and spread south into the yellow shaded area while intensifying. Hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes possible.
Scattered showers and storms are possible on and off. This is showing a possible line of storms building up just after noon. More storms are possible in the evening in SE Nebraska, some of those could be strong to severe.

A line of snow is going to form after 10pm tonight into early Tuesday in far eastern Nebraska into SW Iowa. 1-2" is possible near Omaha, 2-4" possible just southeast of there.
Much of northern Nebraska may see a trace, far southeast Nebraska has the chance for a rain/snow mix.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for parts of eastern Nebraska. A few inches of snow are possible in this area late Monday into Tuesday morning.
Those near but not in the advisory may see an inch or so of snow with rain mixing in.
A swath of snow will set up late Monday into very early Tuesday (April 6-7, 2026). Not expecting a lot of snow, but it might make travel tricky between Lincoln and Des Moines.
