Some good play and game should be out of sight. Cvancara has had some good moments and is probably our best option through the middle but we can’t rely on him as a source of goals. Daizen’s best game for a while. Need that second goal.

That’s not to even criticise those two players, or give a pass to the team today. But this was a solvable problem.

In January we needed a striker who could play every game and lead the line and a right winger who would improve us.

We managed it a few seasons ago with Idah and Kuhn, it shouldn’t take much, and it got us over the line.

Today we started with Iheanacho and Yang.

Decent for a first go. Hopefully it finds its own voice a wee bit. Enjoyed the silly George Fouracres bit at the end and hopefully they lean more into that stuff. Weekend Update was good but again a very SNL US delivery. Great to have some TV comedy with relatively new faces on it.

We aren’t going to consistently play well between now and the end of the season but neither are hearts or rangers. It’s going to be a grind but we’ve shown we have the intestinal fortitude if not the quality. We have to hope that is enough.
