My mom's urn, fired and glazed. I plan to paint orchids and sunflowers on it. I can't believe it's been just over a month. It feels like yesterday, and it feels like twenty years.
I have a gala fundraiser to execute and an endpaper illustration (gasp!) to turn in this week... ready for a break.

owner of a local pottery place lost a friend recently and threw an extra urn for me for free. i got to paint it today. glaze colors look crazy but hopefully it'll look very ocean/river themed!
it'll be a nice resting place for my mom, since we always went kayaking together.
