Tell me again how One Nation is the party of “real Australian values.” If this is what you want to be associated with be my guest but I want nothing to do with a political party that at every turn represents the worst of us.

Jim Tory Chalmers plans to cut red tape for business, while maintaining absurd levels of scrutiny for unemployed people.

Because corporations have proven to make responsible and moral choices when left to govern themselves.

And because unemployed people are shit on the government shoe.

This is excellent. Farnsy flashmob in Brisbane in response to new Queensland hate speech laws which outlaw the phrase ‘From the river to the sea’.

I will say it again. Warfare in the technological age has changed everything.

We don’t need to spend $380bn on subs.

Friday, Brisbane protesters sing & dance to John Farnham’s Two Strong Hearts - ‘River to the Sea’
Saturday, 20 arrested for saying the exact same words in a chant.

So if you wear a wig & dance you won’t be arrested. The inconsistency is utterly humiliating for David Crisafulli.

We need to flip the script on NDIS incentivising disabilities
Instead of rewarding psychological fragility, our government must stop incentivising young Australians to medicalise everyday struggles and anxieties and encourage resilience.

This is total horseshit.

The NDIS incentivizes shonks and ticket clippers to provide dodgy services and "assistance" at higher costs to people with disabilities.

The entire issue with the NDIS is that a generation of Australians (including almost everyone working in the political media) have become indoctrinated to believe the private sector is more efficient than the private sector.

Privatize disability care? What *could* go wrong???

Politicians, media hacks & anyone claiming AFP "overstepped" got a reality check today. Court heard evidence BRS had “advanced plans” to scuttle overseas & made a “deliberate decision” to hide this from authorities.

Time to stop making excuses for the elite.

And yet they want to (not so much lately though) bandy around the phrase “leader of the free world.”

Been listening to a lot of left-leaning US podcasts this week & it's amazing how little they care abt the impact this is having on the world. Lots of discussion about gas prices in the US & how it'll affect the midterms but zero reflection on the global economy or how poor countries will be crushed.

Ignore ‘self-serving’ claims from gas giants and implement 100% tax on windfall profits, Ken Henry says Former Treasury secretary says a tax rate was ‘socially optimal’ in submission to a new parliamentary inquiry * Follow our Australia news live blog for latest updates * Get our breaking news email, free app or daily news podcast The former Treasury secretary Ken Henry says “self-serving” claims from gas giants about the risks of a windfall profits and export taxes should be ignored by the Albanese government as it weighs up the intervention ahead of next month’s federal budget. In a submission to a new parliamentary inquiry examining the gas taxation regime, Henry made the case for a 100% windfall profit tax as he rejected the assertion that any changes would heighten perceptions of Australia as a sovereign risk and freeze investment in new projects. Our NHS is a public asset, but private interests are gaining influence over its £240bn budget. When private money shapes public decisions, patients and staff pay the price.

Healthcare should be about people, not profits. 💙

Australia's gas exports rose by $48 BILLION in a decade.

In that same decade, revenue from the petroleum resources rent tax FELL by $450 million.

The PRRT is broken. This is why Australia needs a 25% gas export tax.

It’d be great if our media could cease reporting every single Trump fart and instead report the reality of what the US is doing.

It’s not a human interest story about one person, it’s a political story, of a nation sinking into fascism and idiocy.

Our media is a member of the cult.
