They sell ANDOR action figures, of course, and of course the audience is 35-50-year-olds, but it's deeply funny to imagine children playing with little Luthen Rael and Saw Gerrera dolls.
CHILD 1: I think violence is not only justified, but demanded
CHILD 2: I agree, but haste could be our undoing

How to get into Magic The Gathering:
Download the MTG Arena app and do the tutorial matches.
Buy a “commander precon” deck from your local game store or Best Buy.
Get the MTG Companion app to find a Commander event near you, and ask them to place you at a table willing to show you the ropes.
We should rename it to something like universal basic living. Remove money from the thought. If you oppose this, you oppose people having life.
You know how in a library no one’s trying to sell you anything?
That’s how the internet was.
I’ll never forget watching this for the first time while home sick from first grade (God bless HBO and 80s parents that didn’t give a shit). I remember being suspicious of all large seed pods for years after. The tendril efx have never been outdone.
‘Project Hail Mary’ is exactly what I needed in this dark decade. Competent people displaying bravery and empathy for the other, while working towards a common goal. Excellent storytelling and filmmaking craftsmanship, you can tell every detail was met with care.
Gen X grew up under the Jesus Freak evangelical movement of the 90s, it doesn’t surprise me that a good chunk of us went to the dark side.
Stay very still.
I can’t wait to see them and give them and you some love. When you’re ready.
It has classic Walking Dead energy this season, and I’m very down with that. So much so that I was a little bored with the “meanwhile, back at Pleasantville” episode.
I thought it was exaggerated as well, until I visited a few years ago. It’s a bit like the Texan accent, it’s thicker in different areas, and if you hit the right area, boy is it really a thing.
Remember when he said a beloved American filmmaker deserved to die because he didn’t like Trump? That was just a few months ago, and everyone has forgotten about it. It’s because his supporters never cared, and the rest of us feel powerless and overwhelmed. But we’ll remember in November.
I feel like that should be the opening text to every episode.
What’s going on with how he’s sitting? Also, where is Dern’s lower body?
I’ve enjoyed all the 28 movies, but Bone Temple is on another level completely, 10/10 no notes. It’s rare to feel fully happy with a movie end to end, but every frame of this film is incredible, and the audience tonight was cheering, gasping, and applauding throughout. Run to see it this weekend!
Physical miniature elements getting ready
You’ll especially go nuts for it, it’s gonzo filmmaking, good fun.
Days later and I’m still thinking about Gore Verbinski’s new movie “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die.”
It has one of the wildest third acts I’ve ever seen. Sharp satire mixed with incredible sci-fi moments, and an all time Sam Rockwell performance. I’m excited for everyone to see it when it hits.
Will do! 🤜🤛
Bumped into @mickgarris.bsky.social this morning waiting for my flight to Austin. It was a joy to meet such a gracious and talented filmmaker. I probably gushed a little too much about the Fly II, sorry Mick. If you’re at Fantastic Fest make sure to check out the Masters Of Horror reunion tomorrow!
Another Friday where you can stick me in your earholes in multiple ways. There's a new @itsthehippocket.bsky.social episode up right now with guest @rifewithkatie.bsky.social ! If you're feeling nostalgic for the mid-2000s, I'm on @podcastlikeits.bsky.social to talk about Peter Jackson's KING KONG.
I’d love to see Hader direct one of these new Alien movies, he gets it. youtu.be/r_MSJojqAe4?...
He does one for every month, I love it, but August is the best.
I am glad to hear MURDERBOT's getting a season two. It's a terrifically weird show and a great adaptation.
Heads-up, Comic-Con. The Long Walk is going to Hall H… and so is The Kingcast! Your humble hosts will be moderating this panel, so prepare accordingly.

Totally. I can imagine why the concept of this story is so close to his heart. We all contain multitudes, but what he contains is beyond most of our imaginations.
The LIFE OF CHUCK was wonderful.
@mikeflanaganfilm.com has crafted a movie that illustrates and expands on the value of every single life in a way I’ve never seen before. It’s a warm meal that reminds us of the beauty of existence, the impressions we leave and take, and how it’s all worth it. 🕺
I feel like Continental Studios would want to get into that sweet video game adaptation business and want to bring in the experts for…
