The #BraveOfUS stand up and confront power and that's exactly what @vetsaboutface.bsky.social is doing with 150 veterans and active duty military in the Capitol rotunda right now to demand Congress end this criminal war on Iran.

The programs docs use are higher level and specialized and dictations are reviewed and proofed. I’m sure some errors still get made whether it’s machine or human. The more safeguards and reviews we have, the better the outcome.

I like to hear opinions from all different perspectives, yet I cannot stand listening to Harrison. I’m considering skipping Monday’s PnP even though I enjoy the others on the panel.

I thought autocorrect is supposed to get smarter. Mine is getting dumber.

I can deal with the “adjustments”. What I can’t deal with is the Conservative propagandists screeching throughout it all. Especially Kate Harrison. (BTW my autocorrect spelled it Hate Harrison 🤔)

Canada’s boycott wasn’t organized. It was organic.

Reasons from friends, family, neighbours and Bluesky suggest it’s because Canada has a high literacy rate and over 60% of us have a college/university education; we listen, we read and quietly make up our minds. One Canadian at time.

A large outdoor structure made from stacked scrap materials, including rusted metal, wire fencing, wooden branches, bicycle parts, and assorted debris. Items are layered and tied together, forming a dense, irregular mound. Some pieces are painted or marked, including sections with red paint. The structure is surrounded by leafless trees under a clear blue sky, with dry ground and a dirt path in the foreground.

It goes by many names.
The Thing in the Coulees, The Rust Rock Cathedral, The Witch Hut and Garbage Castle.
For the past 12 years, it has been an unsanctioned art installation in the Lethbridge River Valley. To this day, the creator is unknown.
This is the story.

How hidden soil fungi ‘steal’ bacterial DNA to control the rain Soil fungi “borrow” bacterial genes to control the weather

We should look down🌍⬇️
“This discovery could change how researchers view conservation. If we clear-cut a forest – stripping every tree away and leaving the land bare, we aren’t just losing trees. We might be breaking the biological engine that triggers regional rainfall.”

When the wealthy are faced with taxation, they threaten to cut jobs, leave or do any number of petulant things

They act like terrorists when asked to simply pay what they owe society

So why do we allow these terrorists so much power?

To #13 to use a satin or microfibre hair towel to squeeze out excess water is sounds good. Wet hair is damaging to the cuticle so anything to decrease drying time is good. I found that a quick blow dry angling down to close the hair shaft has been less damaging than air drying my hair.

“Basic income has been shown to reduce health care costs, including an 8.5% reduction in hospitalizations. As Dr. Danielle Martin [the newly elected Liberal MP in today’s by-election] has so pointedly said, “If we discovered a drug that reduced hospitalizations by 8.5%, we’d put it in the water.”

Underrated aspect of having a majority:

People who didn't want to join the government as staff when it wasn't clear whether the government would last more than two years might be a bit more willing to sign up if it looks like the government is going to last at least four years.

Anahareo sits posed in a studio portrait, wearing a fringed jacket and a neck scarf tied at the front. Her hair is cut in a short bob with bangs, and she looks directly at the camera with a calm, composed expression. One arm rests along the arm of a chair while the other hand holds a cigarette. Strong lighting casts a defined shadow of her profile against the plain backdrop behind her.

Archie Belaney, a British man who called himself Grey Owl, became famous as a conservationist, but it was Anahareo who turned him to that path.
Her story is often overlooked, but she was an author, conservationist, prospector and more.
This is her story.
