PSA for anyone who's divorced or broken up:

Check your Google accounts for any info you may be sharing with your ex.

Now check again.

I had made sure to cancel any email/location/photo sharing, but just discovered I've been sharing my entire calendar for the past 1.5yrs since we split up 😳

“Are you the branch manager?”
“Yes I am, how can I help you?”
“I would like two branches, please.”
“How would you like that?”
“Two big sticks, four little sticks.”

Oh! My roommate bought this very ocean-tasting seaweed powder that neither of us can tolerate. Maybe it’s Mila’s lucky day!

Also, these people are dubbed “pseudoscientists”, so I suppose this is the path towards pseudoscientific discovery 😅

No one will ever fund non-pharmaceutical, and especially musical (as opposed to athletic)- approaches, so there’s a low chance it will ever approach “evidence based” status.

HOLY NASA - I just read more evidence and found the name of researchers I can contact about the very niche theory I went back to school for.

Is this what the path to scientific discovery feels like?!?

I think it’s also nutrition - so much processed food in lunches! They don’t have a chance to develop healthy gut bacteria which will help.

Video

Absolutely incredible.

NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.

Watch with sound on.

I love her. The cat distribution system did well!

That’s a good point!

I'm conflicted.

Today in class we spent the whole time bashing a standard practice that isn't "evidence-based", but is used a lot and anecdotally helps a LOT of families.

On the other hand, the "evidence-based" treatment causes SO much harm.

Am I a bad practitioner if I say, go with the first?

I found a $300 rental that summer!

How is everyone in my class house-hunting? They’re like 22.

When I was 22 I think I had like -$6000 to my name 😅

There was a grizzly bear attack near here recently and that’s the kind of GRR I felt!

Yeah, there are so many (even official-sounding) calls for it but it seems like they don’t get anywhere!

Oh nooo she’s going to put “learned helplessness” on my profile now that I’ve argued, isn’t she 😫

I'm so glad I decided to be an OT before the meeting I just had with an OT (about school).

Insisted I reflect on "internalized stigma". Insisted how an institution handled a racist situation poorly wasn't going to affect how it handled disabilities. Tried to violate confidentiality. I'm fuming.

Oh it’s not that I wouldn’t do the work. It would just (slightly) level the playing field. They’re saying to input the notes I’ve already taken to have another way to read it, or to use it to make quizzes.

I did it once but it felt like killing the planet.

I am a grad school student with a learning disability. It is disheartening to me how many times people have told me to just use ChatGPT to do parts of my work.

I would rather fail than use AI to think for me.

ChatGPT is not an academic accommodation!!!

Who wants to contribute to my “don’t be burnt out” fund? It’s only $5000/mo! 😂

There’s also this autism mom (who does a great job with her kids in terms of getting them to advocate for themselves), but she did a similar post on “how to vacation with autistic kids” and the solution is just to have $20000 to throw on a 4 day trip.

Thanks! I mean, NASA is cool too, we just need passionate people everywhere!

I think it’s actually because of my motor disability - so if I’m distracted by other work, I’m practicing in my mind, which produces better results when I do get to put the physical movements in! But also, I’d be bored doing just one thing 😅

I mean, the ballet would be shooting for the stars! But from the last 5 years I’ve learnt that I play better when I have something else full-time going on on the side 🎻

Since everyone on Threads is now wanting to work at NASA (I must have clicked something affecting my algorithm), I just want to put into the void that my dream career is to play in the National Ballet and run an OT private practice for autistic kids and adults ✨
