Oh that was 12 days ago 🤣
I’m here to encourage this.

Adulthood is saving that last episode of a dinosaur documentary to make sure you can really give it your full attention.

The gold medal hockey game between Canada and USA has been stressful.
Dammit. Found a skunk with a broken back in the barn. We’re taking it to a wildlife care facility later. They’re probably going to put it down, but better a needle than a bullet. Plus, I would have to move him to do that, and that makes it emotionally more difficult. He has a box, food, and water.
I know people are busy, but I sure wish it didn’t feel like the “if we ignore him, maybe he’ll go away“ stage, because I’ve been there too many times.
It’s very American to paywall watching your own country on a world stage.

I got new (to me) microphone.
Electro Voice 468.
That’s what I want! I want to hear what the environment sounds like. I want to hear the animals to analyze behavior. Too often I want to hear an animal, but the music is silly to make you laugh, when the animal is clearly upset.
Hot take: putting silly music to animal videos is lowbrow.

That’s a negative.
We found coral tooth fungus on the farm! It’s in the same genus as lions mane and just as edible. We’ll need to keep a close eye on this tree.
I don’t know why there’s a link.
We will clean it up for a photo but keep it naturey. Sometimes there’s just stuff in the way. My wife almost always plucks it, gets a photo of the underside, smells it, and tosses. The bluets we found were photographed and taken home to be put in butter chicken. 😆
Man, I wear through the soles so fast. It’s annoying always needing more socks.
Why do they hate us?
Oh my god light the beam! 💜 👑 🏀
I’d assume the buildup of repair material could potentially interfere with the bellows’ ability to fold cleanly if there’s too much from repeated repairs. I’ve never had to repair a bellows, but this is how I would approach it.
I would probably try to clean it up as much as I can first to prevent flecks from collecting inside the bellows, then apply the liquid tape. Almost like hammering the imperfections out of a weld.
