I've played it a few times and I like it. It's clever, especially the few but distributed cards and how you convey a lot by passing.

The only thing that I've disliked is king making situations that have come up, knowing you can't win but your play determines the winner.

Not a big downside though.

We continued our game of Clank Legacy (and also some non-Dire Wolf games: Cat in the Box, Blokus, Crisps! and Deduckto).

Quality is more difficult to reason about.

The feedback loop is very long and you need a lot of discipline to measure things like DORA that tell you how good your output is.

It's easier to measure inputs.

As a manager it's easy to think about people as conveyor belt equipment.

Invest in/hire new equipment/employees => increase production pipeline output.

More screws the "equipment" can tighten in an hour => More output

It made my top 10 best new-to-me games last year. The mechanism is fun but the art is what makes the game so great.

Without it, it would have been just a fine trick-traker. The art draws me in and enhances the experience. I want to play it just to be able to look at the art again.

Yes. The artwork is beautiful. The theme is fun. The balance and challenges are perfect.

If I am just 1 sardine off, it's so easy to just reset the bag and try again thinking: "This time I know I can do it" ... and then be €1 off: "Gaah! Alright! One more time!"

A game of Conservas in play. Visible is a book with tokens on, upgrade cards, boat cards with ones in the player's fleet with tokens on, and some money.

I recently picked up Conservas by @scottalmes.bsky.social and @saltandpeppergames.bsky.social while searching for a new solo game.

I've only played a few games so far but it's so addicting!

It has everything I want in a solo experience: Short, simple & easy setup.

I can recommend. Easily game of the year for me and it's only February. Small box you can take anywhere. Perfect play time for game weight and player count.

Really cool. I need a buddycon like that. I could only bring four of the games: 3 Tricky Pigs, Piñatas, Matchstick Tycoon, and Mystery Tricks.

All games I really like except I haven't tried Mystery Tricks. The memory/card counting aspect of it doesn't sound too exciting.

I came here to mention Button Shy as well. I had surgery in November. Games I had in the hospital: Button Shy Games Simply Solo series (here I am playing A Nice Cuppa on a hospital bed table), A Carnivore Did It, and Formidable Farm.

After I got home I played a lot of A Gentle Rain during recovery.

Yes! They're quite fun. Short puzzles each day until holiday stress takes over and then you feel bad when you have to finish it "next year" (my wife and I still have 2 days left of the 2025 calendar that we aim to finish this month).

How many seasons are there? I've only noticed the core box at my FLGS but I see 47 expansions on BGG (but that includes promos as well).
