On 9 May 2025, the European Union in Eswatini marked Europe Day 2025 with a colourful event held in Malkerns and attended by scores of people, among them high profile dignitaries who included a representative of the King, Prince Guduza, Deputy Prime Minister, Thuli Dladla, Cabinet Ministers & MPs.

European Union (EU) Ambassador to Eswatini, Karsten Mecklenburg, has on 10 April 2025 presented to His Majesty King Mswati III his letters of credence accrediting him to the Kingdom of Eswatini. This event took place at Lozitha palace. The King appreciated the EU's continued support to Eswatini.

At the launch of Eswatini's internationally-acclaimed MTN Bushfire Festival 2025 held on 4 April in Malkerns. The European Union is very proud to be part of this festival through the annual EU Bushfire Schools Festival taking place on 29 May, ahead of the main festival on 30 May - 01 June 2025.

Welcome back home…! EU Ambassador to Eswatini, Karsten Mecklenburg, welcoming back home local journalist, Nathie Gule, who was recently in Brussels on a familiarization tour of the European Union (EU) and its institutions.
