Is there a story behind those black tape measures? I notice that tailors seem to be particularly keen on them. How come?

@mklapdor.bsky.social perhaps? Wondering if the fine folk at ASRC might be able to assist b/c immigration:

Australia "invests" $184 billion into fossil fuels by 2030 via diesel subsidy, which kills 1 in 5 people through emissions alone (then there's suicidal workers, ff induced climate fuckery like heatwaves, the list goes on...),
The NDIS = every $1 in gives back $2.25.
Which is blowing out the budget?
Taxing 170 billionaires at a rate of 0.8% instead of the legal rate of 45% is shameful, earns more than a gas tax, and decreases the use of fossil fuels, which is a major billionaire spend. Billionaires are killing us. Taxing gas does nothing to stop their emissions.

Australia - let's host #cop31!
Australian government, spruiking Santos a gas company which is South Australia's largest business.
Comedy, @rishpardikar.bsky.social.
PwDA says for every $1 invested into NDIS funding, $2.25 was contributed to the economy, while the scheme enabled participants to work, study and participate in community life.

If taxes kill investment, why is the gas industry rushing to Norway to pay 78%, so that they can continue to kill people and planet, which is what Richard Denniss is encouraging Australia to do too?
@patrickgaley.bsky.social Australia has reached new levels of fossil fuelled stupidity. #AusPol
Taxes don't kill investment. So why is the Australia Institute encouraging Australia to invest in killing people + planet with fossil fuels?
How is killing a good idea?
The key context that Smart Energy Council is missing is that renewables in Australia are eugenics. Rich white households + fossil fueled businesses are funded to decarbonize, whilst First Nations die from climate induced weather.

This reminds me of those stories where they don’t tell the firing squad which of them is actually firing a bullet…
A way to kill at arms length.
Why is the gas industry rushing to Norway?
Because Norways previous Prime Minister = corrupt.
Why do we want a gas industry loving Australia whilst they're killing us with fossil fuels? #AusPol

Norway is not milking the gas industry. They're *investing* in it.
Fossil fuels kill people.
Australia *already* funds fossil fuels, and this is what Norway has done with their wealth fund. Norway has starving people whilst BP is favoured.

@philipthalis.bsky.social is Australia going to be craving the worst climate outcome too, just like Norway? Asking, because being the largest user of diesel per capita in the world, we're well on our way.

@philipthalis.bsky.social What evidence do you have that taxing gas is worthwhile?
Here is what Norway is doing with their taxes, whilst their state owned company is also increasing emissions, killing people + planet.

Could end shortages?
It could not too, and gas companies win by simply increasing output and emissions by more than 25%, killing more people in the process.
Which is what Norway is doing.
How is more deaths from rising emissions “bold generational reform”?
Asking for a dead planet, based on Norway‘s results.

"He has won two Walkley Awards at last year’s 70th gala event as part of a team reporting on Australia’s childcare crisis, three Melbourne Press Club Quills, two Kennedy Awards and a Citi Award." - fancy!
Wow missed this.
Norway is run by fossil fuel company Equinor, who is responsible for their rising emissions, and wow, supports BP!
These handsome devils with their fancy crowns appear to be Charaxes sempronius, the Tailed Emperor butterfly.
They're native to Australia where they feed on kurrajong or bottletree shrub leaves.
They're also famous for getting drunk & fighting on hilltops.
Let's talk about these tiny dragons.
Is this the most loved piece of public art in the whole of Melbourne? #NGV
To my non tech normies, PSA: when you share a link, everything after the ? is tracking. Those “query parameters” tell companies exactly how you arrived, what app you clicked, which ad or email sent you, sometimes a unique identifier tied to you. You can delete everything after the question mark.
