Not a bad view for our PPG Chairs meeting today!
We were joined by Mark & Ben who lead digital engagement for W&P PCN. It was so good to hear their ideas about further developing patient communications and offer to attend future PPG meetings, I feel this is a real positive step forward.
It's #worldhypertensionday on 17th May. It's so important to know your blood pressure numbers, if you haven't taken a reading recently please do it.

Went to the drop in at the Better Boscombe Engagement Hub today. There was lots of information and support available including energy advice, bowel and breast cancer awareness, digital health support and blood pressure tests. What a team! @nhsdorset.bsky.social

Went with Julia from Dorset County Hospital and Harriet from Dorset Healthcare today to the Weymouth Carers meeting. The group joined in positive discussions about the Carers Passport, registering as a carer at their GP practice, and their healthcare experiences as a carer.

As part of the @england.nhs.uk 10-year plan review we went to the amazing @bcpcouncil.bsky.social youth forum last night. The youngsters were so engaged and gave fantastic feedback, it was a privilege for us to be part of the event!
Me and Gill Foott went to the fab Trusted Voices meeting yesterday, which is led by CAN, Public Health Dorset Community Action. Lots of great organisations there and learned a lot about what's happening in the Dorset community!
Went to the The Veterans Hub in Weymouth today with LiveWell Dorset to get feedback as part of the @england.nhs.uk 10 year plan review. Had some brilliant feedback and several actions for us to follow-up locally. What a good meeting!
Went to the fab Central Bournemouth PPG meeting tonight. The group had a great discussion about digital technologies available for patients. Had a good catchup with Marcia from James Fisher GP practice too!
Start the year as I mean to go on! Had a great catchup with Abby from Weymouth & Portland PCN, talking about their upcoming hypertension talks, supported by the Patient Participation Groups (PPGs). Lots more proactive things are being planned too!
