It was great to join so many committed patriots standing for our Constitution and our democracy.

My heart breaks for trans folks in Idaho. Attacking people for doing the most basic thing, using a bathroom, is cruel and inhumane. Washington will remain a safe and welcoming place for everyone—especially our trans community.
My Washington State tax is going to go up and that's a good thing. We had the most regressive tax structure in the country for DECADES.
The bill passed out of the Transportation Committee, I’m not sure where the disinformation is coming from. The bill has now moved to the full Senate for consideration.
The Trump Administration has decided to suspend science and declare that greenhouse gas emissions are good for us? What’s next? Suspending gravity? I think what they really hope is that we suspend our disbelief at the horrifying impacts of their lies and incompetence.
The Governor is required by law to propose budgets for the Legislature to consider, today’s Legislative 101 covers that process and what’s in Governor Ferguson’s transportation budget proposal! 🚧🦺👷

This upcoming session, I’m hoping to share information about the legislative process and how it works! Here’s a first installment on prefiled bills and how to access them.

Great news! Traffic deaths are down 11% in Washington. Let’s keep going until we reach Target Zero 🎯
Last night, I met Heather, her husband will have to pay $1,400 a month for health insurance if Congress doesn’t extend health care subsidies. The decisions our leaders make have real and devastating consequences on people like Heather. We can’t let political games hide the impacts on real people.
I’m grateful to all our veterans—past and present—who’ve served our nation and protected our Constitution. Happy Veterans Day 🇺🇸
Look out 2026, a blue wave is coming!! 🌊
It seems pretty simple to me: make sure hungry kids have food, make sure health insurance premiums don’t skyrocket, and reopen the government. It’s sad that this common sense approach seems so out of reach for Congress.
In a tough time in our country, I’m grateful that the Mariners gave us all something to rally around and cheer on together! Congrats on a great season 💙💛
A second Seattle Nobel laureate in as many years! Validation for our role as a global research powerhouse. Let’s keep investing and winning the future.

Excellent points! There is a lot to fight back against. A doubling of health insurance costs for millions of Americans is a good place to start and the lets make sure we don’t stop there.
Families in Washington can’t afford to see their health insurance premiums double. I’m glad Democrats in Congress have found their backbone and are standing up for affordability. Let’s protect health care and reopen the government ASAP.
The continuing attacks on places of worship must stop. My heart breaks for the LDS community in Michigan and around the world. People gathering to worship and be in community together represents the best of us. This was an attack on all of us. We can’t allow it to become normal.
U.S. Representative @repricklarsen.bsky.social and staff from @cantwell.senate.gov, @repkimschrier.bsky.social, @repdelbene.bsky.social, and @markoliias.bsky.social's teams visited this week to tour the labs and discuss how our nation and state can continue to lead in #fusionenergy innovation.
The best way to guarantee that Jimmy Kimmel gets good ratings is to try and censor him! I tuned in last night and I’ll keep tuning in to send a message that the First Amendment matters now more than ever.
This is blatantly unconstitutional and completely un-American. No president can be allowed to bully Americans who exercise their free speech rights to criticize their government.

Today, as with every 9/11, I remember Leslie Whittington and her family, who died on Flight 77. I had the privilege of working with her as a work study student at Georgetown. Violent extremism is deadly and its victims are too often forgotten.

I assumed as much and also wanted to be crystal clear. A good reminder of how limiting social media platforms are to capture nuance.
There is no motive that justifies political violence in a free society. You’re right that we will learn more in the days to come. In the meantime, we should all work to stop this.
Our democracy won’t survive if we only protect free speech we agree with, it’s up to each of us to make our country strong and safe enough for us to disagree and still live peacefully here together.
Terrible news from Utah today. I agree with Speaker Mike Johnson: “Political violence has become all too common in American society, and this is not who we are. We need every political figure, we need everyone who has a platform to say this loudly and clearly.”
Happy Taylor Swift Engagement Day to all who celebrate!
Fantastic analysis that can help us build more housing in our region.
Bookmark today’s vote for that future moment when Republicans suddenly care about the federal deficit and debt. They are the ones ballooning our debt to pay for their billionaire tax cuts. They are the fiscal arsonists.
There is a legitimate debate about what the Democratic Party should stand for, but there is zero doubt that Democrats have never and will never cut health care and food stamps to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
