Cal-IPC received a 2025 DPR Alliance Grant to create new trainings and resources on roadside and non-crop weed management techniques with UC IPM. The grant also supports improvements to WeedCUT. Look out for new materials and trainings in the coming months!

On 2/25, the CA Botanic Garden held a workshop for Public Gardens as Sentinels against Invasive Plants (PGSIP), providing space for gardens to learn and share experiences. Currently 71 U.S. and Canadian gardens are participating.

Cal-IPC hosted a table in the exhibit hall, where sharing of knowledge and countless conversations were had. Cal-IPC also led a session of talks on invasive plants, so a huge thank you to all the wonderful speakers as well!
We love sharing weed work being done in CA. In Contra Costa County, John Muir Land Trust volunteers remove patches of ice plant during a volunteer day at JMLT’s Pacheco Marsh. They also target stinkwort and Arundo.
