Well, I can tell you his "I only had 4 AEW matches" is total bullshit unless he's talking *exclusively about PPV's*.

He had over a dozen TV matches before they stopped booking him, and no reviews of those matches had positive mentions of his wrestling skills.

The story: His ego ("I'm *star* who should be wrestling on main show") conflicted with AEW's needs (him becoming a better wrestler) and he didn't want to compromise by getting reps on Collision because it conflicted with his indy bookings.

AEW: "We're going to need to increase your in-ring skills by putting you Collision for practic-"
