We mourn the loss of Michael O. Rabin, who has passed away at the age of 94. Alongside Dana S. Scott, Rabin received the 1976 ACM Turing Award for their seminal paper, "Finite Automata and Their Decision Problem."

This is the book that inspired me to learn assembly language. I had it on almost permanent loan from the local library. Bought this mint copy a couple of years ago. Mine has the alternate spelling of Toni on the cover.
