For those who missed it: this was the moment The Strokes ensured they’ll never be invited back to Coachella again! I'm so proud of them

Got our solar panels installed this AM. They came at 8:30am and we're gone by 1:30pm. 13 panels and 10kwh battery.

We can't export to the grid yet (the network operator has been flooded with new requests) but we charged our car with the sun this afternoon. Great feeling, strongly recommend.

Actually the full extent of Mandelson's relationship with Epstein was not fully known at that time. When his emails of support for Epstein were released by US government he was sacked.
Mandelson did nothing illegal wrt Epstein as far as anyone knows.

What's your point?

You seem determined to find
him guilty of something.
I get it, people have never liked Mandelson, find Starmer disappointing as a PM and as a result are using one to damage the other.
It's just a bit tiresome.

I was with you until the last sentence. I will not condemn an entire country for the actions of its leaders.

Yes but even so, what compelled the government to announce the appointment then rather than wait?

Exactly stop getting outraged by every outrageous remark. Ignore them, that will really annoy him.

I remember a local councillor, actually he was the Provost, complaining that on a Friday night "people were running around legless" in Ayr town centre.

Reform poised for north-east gain and SNP government minister toppled, poll finds An in-depth survey of voters suggests some big changes across the Highlands and Aberdeenshire.

This is interesting. The poll predicts the SNP losing seats in Holyrood at the election.
Sadly they will likely stay in government and Scotland desperately needs a change.

I'm always skeptical of BBC-bashing, but BBC News website hasn't reported on the Tice tax scandal since 12 April, when the headline was "Tice £91,000 tax row is 'minor administrative error', party claims".

They make a desert and call it peace.

You get good at it.
A hand fork, a kneeling pad and a bucket to put the weeds in and you can cover a lot of ground in an hour. Always dig the roots out.
When little seedlings sprout and cover the soil just run your hand fork over the surface.
Mulch with bark or wood chip in Autumn to suppress weeds.

Mamdani: "To be honest, I don't think too much about how Republicans portray me. The power of an ideology is judged in the worth of its delivery-to be told a city-run grocery store is implausible but $500 MILLION per day to kill people in Iran and Lebanon is necessary speaks to a broken politics."

These incredible Buff Tip Moths blend in so well with branches that you might mistake them for sticks. Nature's masters of disguise are truly fascinating!

Fair enough but I've always changed phones because the processor would no longer run things properly.

Alternatively, were those 3 mosquitoes found Nortrh of Rekjavik just a fluke and will we see more next year or not?

1 day ago 1 0 1 0

Kind of. What strikes me is that Iceland lies further south than many large tracts of tundra in N America and Siberia that are heavily populated with mosquitos so I wondered why they weren't in Iceland before if they live happily in other places with a more severe climate and what has changed?

Yes, no doubt Trump sees him as one of the potential scapegoats and yes, what poetic justice it would be if a sycophant such as him were destroyed by the man he went out and lied for.

Is Vance afraid that he's going to be stabbed in the back? If I were him I certainly would be.

That sounds promising.
We need to get away from the hyper aggressiveness that surrounds this issue if we are to reach a point where [almost] everyone feels they are being accommodated. Kezia is a genuinely nice person and well suited to resetting the debate.

Boris Johnson didn't pass vetting when Theresa May appointed him Foreign Secretary.

The media must have missed that one.
