Love this tune, especially the funky bit right at the end. Parade is one of my favourite Prince albums.

We are having a moment
That disappointing moment when you find that the tub of ice cream you just bought contains unadvertised chocolate chips…
That’s not really a problem tbh 😊
I have tickets to both sets. See you there!
Sounds cool to me….

Am packing to go away for a few days. I have reached the stage where the box of pills ‘n’ potions I have to take is larger than my pile of books to read…
If you need people to come down and lie I front of the bulldozers I am sure we will all get involved…I’m quite heavy and take a lot of shifting. 😊
Schrodinger’s Straits.
Likewise..I was introduced to them via Drums and Wires back in 80ish in sixth form by a girl named Penny that I had a mad crazy crush on. I always think of her when I listen to them and wonder where she is now.
Let us know what you think of the XTC live album
True fact: the first time I took a girl to the cinema, back in the middish 70s, was to see Godzilla versus the Smog Monster. It was the only film playing with a certificate I could get into.
Good luck…have a cup of tea to celebrate getting that flying teapot…
The image shows the album Word Salad by Fischer Z
Not sure if anyone else remembers Fischer Z, the follow up to this (Going Deaf for a Living) is a nugget of British power pop #5DebutAlbums7579
Sorry to hear that my old sparring partner Andy Kershaw has passed away. His eclectic taste in music and enthusiastic promotion of the artists he loved made him a brilliant broadcaster
My dog sits in the living room staring at something in the hall and tracking its movements…but there’s only me in the house…
I wish I could go this evening as it’s a subject I love, but I’m going to the Jon King event in Thursday and my ancient self can’t cope with two nights out in a row…😊
The album cover of 25 Years On by Hawklords
Not sure if this counts for #5DebutAlbums7579. We’re they an offshoot of Hawkwind or and alternative name during legal hassles? Not sure….live the record though…
Oooh interested to hear your opinion…I have a memory there are two films coming along on this subject.
Hope the problem was fixed

It’s really lovely, though I haven’t seen it for years…
I love a Booths. Keswick is my favourite, with added wonderful views from the car park…
Hmmm Michael Chapman is a name I have seen around but I’ve never heard any of his stuff…this tune Aviator on the radio now is pretty good tho…
Unexpected @marcrileydj.bsky.social on the radio while I limber up for making dinner. Excellent!
I’m so glad you asked that…I assumed you all knew something I didn’t….
So tonight’s film was Song Sung Blue. I really enjoyed it…I can struggle a bit with stories that are centred around human drama but this was lovely…and the Pearl Jam scene made me smile
Like those sitcoms that transfer to the big screen and go on holiday to Spain…or maybe we could get a double decker bus and drive round Europe….this is a great idea!
I definitely need to venture out over the bridge next time I visit Reading.
