You know any decent writers?

There are not rising tensions between Trump and the Pope. Trump is pissed off. That's the extent of it. It only goes one way.
The 4 #1 Seeds:

Donald Trump

Yeah, that whole album rips. Happy to resurface it for you. I really enjoyed that Cory Wong track. Such great musicians all around but I love a good drummer!

It’s maddening and unfortunately it’s the people making decisions at the district level that are so susceptible to the argument. Save money and guarantee results!?! Sign me up!
The challenge is that we're not making those qualitative distinctions in the classroom or at the system level. In high school we're being told that certain tools are good and that our students are required to be on those tools for x minutes per week regardless of teacher buy in or engagement.
I now better understand what you were saying. As you can tell, I'm defensive as a result of being told over and over about the value of technology when my daily reality is quite the opposite. I appreciate your engagement! I will look into Papert and Stager
That an interesting perspective, but the challenge is how to focus on that while limiting the downsides of distraction and now cognitive offloading that has a negative impact on achievement and critical skill development.
Most of the value statements I see around ed-tech are centered around student achievement so what am I missing? I'm also VERY interested in more wholistic data about connections between cognitive development, social emotional health, and screen time. Again, anecdotally it's been net negative.
What does current research tell you about about the benefits or risks to learning outcomes for students in a 1 to 1 environment where every students has a computer? I'm honestly curious, because anecdotally I think the value of introducing more technology into the classroom has been vastly oversold.
What qualifies you to make sweeping statements about "too many educators..."? Is it your experience in elementary, middle school, or high school classrooms? Is it research that you must have conducted? Or is it just assumptions?
In response to you assuming what I do or do not understand? Yes, I can do that. I'm not making assumptions about you or what you do or don't understand about anything related to your job.
Until you do that, and do that successfully while keeping students engaged and developing the thinking skills that will prepare them for life beyond highschool, I don't think you can tell me about much I do or don't understand the value of that device.
Have you ever had to manage a classroom of 35 fourteen year olds that have computer in front of them?
Does the law even account for this? Obviously it’s depraved, but technically what’s illegal about it?

Count of Monte Cristo
I love how they make it sound like you can just write a letter and they’re going to lower their prices. Did PepsiCo write this article?
The Overstory by Richard Powers
Make them local heroes doesn’t sound like the flex he thinks it is! These people are so clueless.
Notice that it says person, not citizen.
Is that bad?
Are those Bluey balls? Doesn’t sound super appealing.
I could not agree more! All of these very complicated and nuanced challenges get boiled down to simple solutions like more student choice, more independent reading, more books. I think this idea of creating positive reading experiences is so important but rarely considered.
Knight’s been the best player on the PP tonight.
4th grade - My Side of the Mountain
It’s especially stupid because the obvious answer is actually Trublican!
Battle Cry of Freedom
In The Garden of Beasts
