To strange people, it's strange to be normal.

We need to stop them immediately
@whatsthisidonteven 3y ago Watching Dan Olson speedrun some bad game noone's ever heard of is kinda like going to the most expensive luxury restaurant and ordering a hotdog. I'm willingly getting garbage, but goddamn is the presentation incredible
This comment describes exactly how I feel.
HUHHHHHHH???????
Wait what? How did I not know about this?
damn
With the help of the Sandy Hook families, The Onion has reached a long-awaited deal to take over InfoWars.
We've enlisted the help of @timheidecker.bsky.social, who will be InfoWars' Creative Director.
Please stand by for more.
Speedrunning is the closest thing humans can get to experiencing Groundhog Day (1993).
Every reset is like starting the morning of February 2nd. You already know what events to expect so you are prepared for them. And every loop your skills improve as if they happened overnight in the game.
London Bridge is a lot smaller than I thought.
SPAAACE
Being able to add protein AND fiber to any dinner with ease is just perfect. I love beans so much.
Holy shit it's so easy to add beans to just about any dish. I need to do this more often. Genuinely underrated.
A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.
In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."
Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!
Glitch Hunting is more than just hitting your head on the wall repeatedly until something interesting happens, it is experimenting.
Even if a glitch you find appears useless, at most it's just an interesting and maybe entertaining thing the game does. Which is still worth documenting.
However, by using previously known quirks (such as the hitboxes for the Ankiron), you can combine those two things to suddenly make the clip possible.

Like in Wario World, it was known that the Bye Bye Balloons could be used to clip through the floors near the boss doors.
But there was never a way to make it to the loading zone without falling out of bounds.

Something I've learned recently about glitch hunting in Speedrunning is you always want to document anything and everything you can about potentially useful glitches even if there's currently no practical use for them.
Later down the line you might find something that makes said glitch useful.
Time for some skin lotion powered by AI.
I swear I almost confused her for the Goop lady.
Clearly you need to start the game on the final boss if you want to start on hard mode.
This is only possible in Horror mannor and MAYBE Beanstalk way, because the Bye Bye Balloon is low enough to the ground for Wario to clip through the floor.
This has roughly already saved like 23 seconds in RTA, and probably will save more in the future.
You got this!
Here's the general set-up for this skip:
Opened up the door in Wario World with a Red Crystal Skip in Horror Manor by using a large enemy collision to get pushed just enough under the floor to hit the loading zone. This'll open the door for other levels in the game; www.youtube.com/watch?v=CegS...
A McDonald’s where the sign has been reduced to McDo.
There is no McTry.
Now he's getting paid cash with atlas earth
How the fuck does this look like AI years before it was widely accessible?
More like a Protofight
I have spent most of my time on social media with the assumption that most people with big followings are older than me.
Idk how to feel about being older than someone with a big following on here.
