Totally looking to pick this one up, glad it played well for you!

We did this last year with the kids watching the stages of the caterpillars metamorphoses and eventually released them into our back yard. This year I was able to capture one emerging from its chrysalis on a timelapse this morning.
Just finished one of the best episodes to date. Going to roll this one back again today. I just need to get some BGHT merch with “combonie”.
That was my suspicion. At least with UM my wife has a link to the theme with her major, where as only I minored in boozology
Curious @2muchenthusiasm.bsky.social without spoiling, or perhaps to share on the show, how the weight for Speakeasy compared to Unconscious Mind for you. I’m listening post BGG con where you picked up UM and found, similar to me initially, the university track area a bit ‘extra’ (my word not yours)
This is one of those games I’d get on production alone, like Unconscious Mind. Is it as heavy as they say? UM is beautiful but I’m having difficulty getting into it due to the weight.
The art reminds me of Armello, and I love what I’m seeing from Echos of Time! There’s a lot of comedic expression in Armello, is EoT mostly these power poses or any levity?
I respect the no sleeves despite how long it was for you to get this game
Dig the beard! Or is that evil Tim?
On the table tonight, Rap Godz. Such a great, fun, thematic, and well thought out game.
(For the song in the video, don’t DMC me bro)

“Wonderful co-op”?
Who are you and what have you done with Tim?
Testing out the new dice tower my FIL built for me.
Everyone has been hyping this “AI” so I went on the internet and bought some, it finally arrived!

What’s been the problem getting your copy pleated? Production looks good, I like the art, and not too weighty.
This guy looks like a badass too:
Have a fun trip! Does this mean Adam is going to record solo?
Flip 7, Travel Sized Cribbage, Spirits of the Forest, Princess Princess Ever After (Love Letter), Guildhall, and Cascadia

Excited for the vlog and curious what games you may be bringing (if any) on your trip @boardgamehottakes.bsky.social & @2muchenthusiasm.bsky.social
Streetcar just released on BGA and after searching for some actual rulebooks I found this blurb for tile randomness. They don't make them like they used to!
I do not like this gen AI
I do not like what it implies
I do not want it in my art
I do not think it makes you smart
I do not want it in my games
I do not like its goals and aims
I do not want it in my books
I do not like the way it looks
I do not like it, I don't care
I do not want it anywhere
I don’t know, I struggled through the BGA learn but happy to give it a whirl if you want to send an invite sometime. Just listened to the Unanimous Hot Takes episode and I think standing the test of time all three of you guys are pretty high on it.
With art like Gaia Project, it’s gotta be good.
I was listening to BGHT’s unanimous hot takes episode just now and Tim had some great quotes for this game:
“I think about playing that game and I fall asleep.”
Did waxbottle hack your account? This sounds like a ruse to get us to lose the #2026-no-board-game-buying-challenge
Unrelated, I suppose I should finally learn this one.
Head and shoulders image of a white haired man with a white goatee looking off into the distance to the right. Some buildings and a bit of water are visible behind him. Ryan Dancey, former COO of Alderac Entertainment Group.
Text from a LinkedIn post which says: Ryan Dancey Author Chief Operating Officer at Alderac Entertainment Group I have zero reason to believe that an AI couldn't "come up with Tiny Towns or Flip Seven or Cubitos". I can prompt any of several AIs RIGHT NOW and get ideas for games as good as those. The gaming industry doesn't exist because humans create otherwise unobtainable ideas. It exists because many many previous games exist, feed into the minds of designers, who produce new variants on those themes. People then apply risk capital against those ideas to see if there's a product market fit. Sometimes there is, and sometimes there is not. (In fact, much more often than not). Extremely occasionally (twice in my lifetime: D&D and Magic: the Gathering) a human has produced an all new form of gaming entertainment. Those moments are so rare and incandescent that they echo across decades. Game publishing isn't an industry of unique special ideas. It's an industry about execution, marketing, and attention to detail. All things AIs are great at.
Ryan Dancey, a more than 30-year veteran of the tabletop gaming industry, has lost his COO job at publisher AEG a day after saying AI could generate game ideas as good as his company’s titles Tiny Towns and Cubitos:

Inis Nemed finally delivered, complete with metal miniatures, coins, the Druid card stuck to the box, and the empty Legendary box as I expected.
It is gorgeous. I can’t wait to play it with my wife soon!
And your shelves!
