I've been a Squaddie since the Ostrander days, and that Gunn put him in the movie (and therefore got him a new revenue stream) means a lot to me. He's been in poor health lately so it prolly helps a lot. The only misstep here was killing Boomerang. Jai's only good role, and Boomer's a cockroach.

It also has a kickass soundtrack dialed right into my tastes. Pixies and Jim Carroll? FUCK. I wish I could check out the Peacemaker series but the motherfucker killed Rick Flag and I doubt the series deals with that. Let me know if it does. 2/x

The Suicide Squad has usurped Spider-Man 2 as the best comic book movie coz it treats the villains as people. Plus, blood and swears. 1/2

As much as I love Dante and Carpenter, these are prolly my least favorite of their movies. They're not *bad* movies, just not my taste. Love Stevie Wayne, tho!

Also, I just got some Jim Beam Peach, so I doubt I'll be awake anyway. Happy Bday to all whom it applies, tho!

The Bay is legit terrifying coz it's so damn plausible and it's presented in such a mundane, realistic way. It's on several free streaming sites in the US but I suspect you're somewhere else.

I watched the extended editions of Alien, Aliens, Alien Resurrection and AVP today. And Hag. Currently watching what I assume is the long awaited Ayer cut of Suicide Squad. I gotta get a job.
