AI is a tool that makes good developers great. It amplifies our capabilities, reduces repetitive coding tasks, and lets us focus on higher-level problem-solving. Think of it like a turbocharged assistant – not a replacement, but an enhancement.
Just remember to review the code every time.

πŸ” The Verdict: Will AI Replace Developers?
Absolutely not. These AI tools are powerful assistants, not replacements. They're like having a super-intelligent autocomplete that can generate code, suggest improvements, and speed up development.
But... they still need a human brain to:

πŸ” Tabnine: Machine learning magic that autocompletes your code very accurately, it has gotten way better, but with all other tools around I feel like I want a little more.

🐱 GitHub Copilot: The OG of AI coding assistance. It's been around for a while I'm surprised they have not catch up to Cursor yet although the latest MS workspaces seems to be releasing the agents.

πŸ’‘ Codeium: Free, fast code completions that feel like they're telepathically understanding your coding intentions. Although is not as surprising as before since now most tools are good at this they are killing it with windsurf though.

🌊 Windsurf: Think of it as your personal AI coding assistant that makes suggestions even when you did not even asked for it, so far this is my favorite tool, the UI is clear, easy to revert latest changes, access to it's own terminal to run commands, It's just great.

πŸ€– Will AI Replace Developers? πŸ’»

As I built builtin24.com I'm constantly exploring AI coding platforms and ways to supercharge my workflow.
After testing multiple AI coding tools, here's my breakdown of some of the ones I've tried and that are changing how we build software:

πŸ€–Battle of the agents πŸ€–

Cursor composer agent vs Windsurf

The competition keeps heating up.
They all do the same thing but with different approach and UX

Right now windsurf does it for me, UX wise they nailed it with that "reject all changes" at the bottom of the chat.

Unpopular opinion.

"Building full stack apps with AI w/o knowing how to code" is a scam.

As I rebuild an app that apparently is having a lot of visits but no sales I'm constantly asking myself if is worth it.

I guess there is only one way to find out.πŸ™‚

I cancelled my cursors subscription, will probably by the one for the same price with windsurf but can be use by my wife and I.

I really enjoyed the flow of windsurf.
