Decisive 4-0 win for the Eagles this afternoon.
BC on the player advantage for the last 1:13 this afternoon. Nishi for Merrimack heads to the box for an illegal faceoff, which one of the Merrimack people informs me is something of a two-nickel situation for the Warriors.
Refs reviewed it just to make sure, and sadly the Warriors remain shut out. But 3 minutes is no time at all...
Oh, that was a close one for Merrimack. Puck dinged against the post and hung in blue space for a second until an Eagle batted it away. Still a 4-0 Eagles game with just over 3 minutes to go in regulation.
Tremblay gets the fourth goal for the Eagles, and it'll be hard to argue. Beautiful dangle and shot by the freshman forward.
Ah, for naught. This was challenged for offsides, and the goal was taken away. Great catch by the Merrimack staff.
Still a 3-0 game.
Babey gets one on her old team thanks to some quick passing by linemates Tremblay and Conner in front of the Merrimack net.
Trying to watch The Talons of Weng-Chiang and this shit come on
Boston College will head to the PP for the second time this afternoon.
Third period starts in just over a minute. Eagles lead 3-0. Shots on goal are 19-14 in favor of the Eagles.
Madelyn Murphy scores again for the Eagles, just as the announcer finishes calling Thomas's goal! BC is up 3-0 with 1:14 left in the second.
Ava Thomas scores at even strength!
Boston College is getting its first power play with 5:02 left in the second.
BC scores its first goal at 11:44 in the second. Olivia Maffeo sneaks a shot past Doucette, who's been incredibly strong for Merrimack this afternoon.
Coming back for the second period, the score is tied at zero. Boston College leads on SOG 9-8 and in attempted shots 13-9. Merrimack won 12 faceoffs to BC's 7 and went on the player advantage 3 times.
Boston College heads to the penalty box again for its 11th crosschecking minor of the season. This is their third PK this period.
Even strength now. MC is 0-2 on the power play thus far.
MC looks to have a PP setup where they make passes to each other between the blue line and the faceoff circle, hoping to confuse the defenders enough to get a sudden shot off from that distance.
Emma Conner was able to intercept a mishandled pass and went on for the SH break, but was denied.
BC is heading to the PK again as Mara goes to the box for boarding.
BC isn’t necessarily tiring themselves out, but still putting shots on net. Unfortunately, though, there have been some intercepted passes and missing the puck, leading to Merrimack getting their mitts on the puck. You don't want to be careless, here, and cede momentum to the visiting team.
Boston College to the PK.

At Conte for some Saturday afternoon women's hockey! Boston College, standing tall at 2nd in Hockey East and on the boots of a 3-game win streak, are facing off against last-place Merrimack College.
And that is a weekend sweep for Boston College. This is a very tough loss for Boston University, who did outplay the Eagles for much of the game in my opinion.
This Eagles team is very pesky.
Empty net for Boston University.
