And our media will invariably present this not as a major crisis, an impeachable offense that must lead to his immediate removal, but as “a spat” between Don & Rosie

So a major entity advocating for it twigged my newly-developing COINTELPRO BS senses.

Leftist organizers smarter than I have pointed out how dangerous & divisive that advice is on several fronts (tripping/trampling risk of suddenly sitting down, wasting energy self-policing instead of focusing on actual goals & threats, mob mentality turning on individuals, etc).

Hypoautonomic didn't point out the thing that raised my eyebrows recently: altnationalparks' reposting of the proposal that peaceful protests have monitors with vests & whistles, to get everyone to sit down so the cops will "take out their aggression" on the instigators/bad actors.

Read through most of the linked thread. They have some good points & some iffy ones about what may be going on & who may be running things.

As multiple commented pointed out, altnationalparks' impact has been largely positive. they've been good at motivating engagement.

How many times did we fucking tell you. You gave up on wearing masks. You let them demonize masks. So they got to write the rules. And the rules are cops “discretion” is that disabled people should be arrested. Because when ableds get to decide who is actually disabled, we lose. Every time.
