I took a beginner stained glass workshop today and made this blue jay. The instructor was amazing and gave me such confidence in myself. I can't believe I made this!
The security guards (Canadian Geese) are back on duty at the office
Happy scrappy Sunday to all who celebrate
I had this book on hold through Libby for I'm sure about 6 months, it was well worth the wait!
Finished Mother Daughter Murder Night by Nina Simon. I really enjoyed this book, always love a good mystery where someone (typically elderly) insists on helping solve it. I listened to this book and I found the pacing to be slower, but in a really good way that allowed me to absorb all the details!
I wake up frequently from back pain through the night, tonight is one of the only times it paid off
I fear that I may take up quilting soon π«£
I am not typically one to clap when the plane lands, but when you land safely at an airport that had a crash on landing less than a week ago, you clap

I found most of the book to be internal monologues of the two main characters without a whole lot of actual substance in between. Reading the reviews of it now I see I'm not the only one who thought that!
I finally finished Hook, Line and Sinker today. Did not enjoy it, but I purchased it along with the first book in the series so felt like I had to finish it (why is that?)
Nature walk at Pearson this morning!
Successful day! Ready for my upcoming vacation now!
Sewing Day!
Adding the finishing touches to my nephew's Valentine's Day gifts π
You can tell how my week is going by how much I contemplate opening a wool mill. This week I'm thinking about it a lot π
Very occasionally I play foosball at lunch with members of my lunch crew, usually they have enough players without me. Today I scored 2 goals π€
I have a deep hatred of Apple products that started when I was a teenager (too mainstream and expensive to have an iPod) and has been reinforced every time I need to do iOS development for work. Everything feels 10x more complicated in comparison to Android π
I finished listening to this book on my walk this morning! I enjoyed it (although it took me so many tries to really get into it, I must have renewed the loan 6 times). I think I wasn't in the right headspace in the beginning, but the book really picked up in the last third. Book 2/12 for the year!
I've been loving @topsyfarms.bsky.social lately! Made this sweater for myself out of mostly leftovers from other Topsy projects! Need to get some better photos of it!
Canadian fibre friends, there are tons of Canadian sheep farmers producing beautiful Canadian wool and yarn! Maybe consider one of them for the materials for your next project?
Looking around my kitchen, I see tons of Canadian products that we're already using. Going to be looking at everything more carefully while shopping now, choosing Canadian wherever I can. It is a privilege that I am able to do that. These tariffs are frustrating.
Got my engagement ring and wedding ring back from being resized and they haven't been this shiny in a long time π
Fave detail is that it is reversible and the other side is also baseball themed
I didn't think I was an apron girlie, but I've been using this Blue Jays apron so much ever since I made it! 25 days until spring training games begin!
Please enjoy this terrible picture of a red-tailed hawk that I also saw! It was so close!
Went on a guided bird watching hike this morning at one of the local universities and saw TWO different owls!
π₯° I made it as an advent calendar one year and decided it needed to stay up all year long!
First outdoor walk since Sunday - I'm approaching 4 years of hitting my step goal (8k steps) every day. This week has been a slog with the -20C temps, but glad things are warming up a bit!
