Defense stocks have jumped +12% since the 10/7 escalation of the Israel-Hamas conflict

However, these gains aren't likely to last if they follow the same pattern that happened after the start of the Russia-Ukraine war

New book I’m reading describes the 1st computers as “moth-ridden monstrosities” + “de-bugging” meant literally cleaning bugs out of hardware bc they were attracted to light from vacuum tubes used for logic circuitry

Almost coughed up my coffee reading that 😂

How far we’ve come!

I don’t mean this in a condescending way—I actually love explaining this in more detail to my friends and family who are patient enough to let me ramble

I’m not sure it really matters that people know + appreciate this tho

Since no one on BSKY is talking about space I’ll start us off:

Genpop has no idea how much of day-to-day life is dependent upon space tech

From navigation services to the financial system, the world would come to sudden halt without space tech

And yet most people don’t know or think about this

One of the things about Bluesky vs the other app is there’s apparently no space industry ppl on BSKY and the other app is owned by the main space industry guy

I’m a little weirded out by everyone having “bsky” in their usernames—a quick glance makes it seem like this is app for BlackSky Space (stock ticker $BKSY) investors
