Due to licensing in my state, I can't drive mine during January. But I have driven mine in some bad weather.

In reasonable snow they are really good.

As you know tires are more than half the battle, and getting *good* tires for these in the US is a problem.

I need to source new tires this year.

Exactly.

Honestly, they are neat hobby vehicles or situationally a great farm truck for some people.

But you gotta *want* to drive it if you put on any real miles.

They are not what the US market wants for daily driving.

I could fold into any of them, but one model was so tight, that the turn single and directional stalks had to be in the most upper position, so that doesn't work in the real world :-)

Pre 99/00 the Sambar was very doable, most where others were questionable. Post 99/00 they all got a lot better.

I picked it up from a company in Milwaukee that imports them.

They were great, I was able to sit in a bunch of makes/models, and test drive a few, which is very important because there are some makes of the pre 2000 redesigns that I can't safely drive due to my height/leg length.

It's a 2000 Mitsubishi Minicab. 5 speed manual, push button 4x4, high/low transfer case. It's got AC. It's got a dump box.

It is pretty happy doing 55 mph in Wisconsin. It's hilly enough, and rough enough that 65 gets kinda sketchy.

Yeah. And I say that when my "daily" is an F-150. The gremlin is that I want/need something to be able to transport my 44 year old Mustang or my 26 year old Kei truck when they break.

I just can't justify a store runner till I finish paying for the F-150.

I could put together about 20+ people easy.

The problem is that like 4 of them are wheelmen, and the rest are demolitions...

Also, there is probably a joke about how most of them have been out of the game for too long.

I hope you love it. I love not needing to have an extra tank of gas sitting on hand and having to do an oil change/tune up at least once a year, or the occasional carb clean.

Which one did you order?

I have a battery powered push mower for home, and I love it. I keep looking at replacing my gas riding mower at my garage, but it's a big investment and I don't know if I want the tractor or the zero turn.

They should reboot Press Your Luck, but have it be part of the game that you know the board movement isn't random, and they add a new rule/complexity everytime someone cracks the code.

It's neat how strongly memories can get tied to smells.

The dog food memory sounds much better than my memories of the smelling the sour kraut factory the next town over, or every other year or so that the neighbor would burn their manure pile.

Or most times I drive past/through Kaukauna.

The little "town" next to where I grew up in Wisconsin has posted "NO WAKE" rules for driving on their roads due to flooding this year. So that's neat.

I think today I *need* a *great* cheeseburger for lunch.

The question is where to get it from.

So... What are the luxury or silly material things in your life that really brighten your life?

I am blessed with the following:
My Mustang.
My Garage (hopefully future home).
My rice cookers.
My microwave that is also an oven/air fryer.
My Kei truck.
My slushie maker.

I think we need a new name for them, a full grown dog should be required by law to be bigger than a standard house cat.

Seems like a perfectly good amount to me. Maybe not even enough.

There is an intersection near my house with a bump in it. The speed limit is 45mph, and the bump is spicy enough I will get tires in the air with my Minicab when going through the intersection.

About 5 or 6 years ago, I ran to a mall crawler 1 ton that had bald street tires and the hood line was above the luggage rack on the Jeep Renegade I owned at that time.

I don't want to yuck people's yum, but someone destroyed a good truck making that thing.

Now I wish my parents were alive so I could ask them how much their first apartment cost.

Mine was a tiny one room that barely fit a couch and twin bed, and was like $375 back in 1997 or so...

As long as he grabs the whole car, and not a specific part, and the car isn't half rust and half composites, he should be good.

But if he is just grabbing a single wheel and throwing it, that's a different story.

I haven't been to Europe recently, just in case anyone has been asking about where I have been lately.

Per your request. This was my first loaf... I messed up. I used table spoons instead of tea spoons for salt.

As a result, it didn't rise correctly, and was incredibly dense. About a fourth of the loaf was really good eating.

I bought a bread machine, and I am making my first loaf in it... BUT I screwed up the amount of salt and put way too much in it.

Anyway, I am excited to find out how bad a loaf of bread tastes when you mix up table and tea spoons.
