手術はよかったです！昨夜、ルイスは１０１度の熱がありましたので、僕たちは少なくとも明日まで病院にいます。

He’s been asleep all day (because again, we did not sleep a single minute last night) but when he’s awake, he says he feels better and the pain is not getting worse. So, yay!!

Doc came this morning - we’ll be here until tomorrow more than likely. They want him to be 12h fever free before discharge, and rn we’re going on 8! Otherwise, everything is good. He’s peeing well, his surgical site is clean and not draining, and he’s feeling better today. Pain at 5 instead of 8.

Last night was rough and we didn’t sleep at all. Luis was in pain and nauseous and also still coming out of anesthesia so he wasn’t being super clear so it was hard to help. He had a slight fever around 3am but nothing after that.

Anyway, AITA??? I keep thinking about it and I feel that was an asshole move but I didn’t have any other option. I couldn’t drop him off because he can’t be alone for that long, and like I said the regular spots were too small to transfer him.

the hospital has 2 maternity parking spots next to the 2 handicap spots and because the normal spots didn’t have space for me to get Luis’ chair out and transfer him, and there were no handicap spots, I parked in the maternity spot. I even put the handicap placard up so it was clear.

We are back at the hospital for Luis’ final (hopefully) kidney surgery. This has quite literally been such a nightmare for both of us, especially him, so I’m really hoping we’re finally at the tail end of it.

anyway all this to say, i’m going to see my mom today who lives in actual downtown Orlando and it’s going to take me over an hour and a half to get there 😑😑 i’m meeting her at 11 and I’m getting ready to leave right now, at 8:30am.

I live in “Orlando” in the sense that I’m in the Orlando area, but I’m actually about 1h15 from Downtown, on a good day. Tampa and Orlando are almost equidistant from my house, and a few more exits down the interstate is actually considered “Tampa Area”

I got this really nice mechanical pencil from Japan for Christmas and I have yet to use it because I don’t want to ruin it. It’s just so fancyyyyyy
