I love him in JLD, I don’t see him as a hero or a villain influenced by the man-bat persona, he genuinely feels like himself and I loved that for him but then they killed him off to make him a mindless zombie in task force z just to ressurect him to be evil in B&R

idk if u read it but that’s why i don’t like his Batman and Robin (2023) arc, it’s good cause it kinda links back to his original lore of wanting to be a hero and this is an evil personality of his so it’s a good twist

I just hate the retcon of him having multiple man-bat personalities

Most people only see him as a animalistic bat and it’s a shame cause when he’s a villain, I like that the bat form heightens his insecurities but as a hero it makes him be the person he’s always wanted to be

I like seeing how much he’s still Kirk even when he’s more feral

Man-Bats my favourite, initially because I js thought he was cool

But reading more into him i love his origins of just wanting to be more like Batman but it goes tragically wrong where he becomes Man-bat The threat that the man-bat form will fuck up his life (it does) is always there even as a hero
