The name for those are "scintillating scotomas." I get one maybe once a year at this point, but it's really annoying when you're trying to read. I just take a nap and sleep it off since there's not much else I can do at that point. Sort of a biological "Turn it off and on again."

A headstone with engraved art of two cats watching over a forested valley. There is a mountain in the distance, based on a photo of Devil's Peak that my father had taken. Celtic knotwork forms a border, traveling through a pair of interlinked wedding bands.
I finally got to see the results of something I made the design for last year.
I replaced my computer's CPU and Adobe deactivated all my software, even though it's a fully licensed CS6 suite that I bought back in 2015. Didn't know they were that bitter about people still using their old software legitimately and not switching to a Creative Cloud subscription.
Yeah, the muscles are also doing unspeakable things in there just to get us to stand upright.
SMART status concerns your hard drive, so make sure you get backups of anything important onto some other storage device.
This might be one of the worst times to be having hardware issues. If it ends up being the ram, it's going to cost over twice what I paid for in 2019 to replace.
I wanted to keep this in my reel, so I went over the animation from 2017 to put a new layer of polish on it and pulled the textures from the old Houdini RAT files so that I could render it in Maya. I think I've fixed the problem I was having with the sheep rig, so that will be a future project.

Anyone remember how the Boston Massacre happened, the government labelled the victims as terrorists, and the whole event became one of many key events that led to the culmination of the American Revolution?
Just wondering.
I know there are enough different Pokémon for at least one snail-riding rabbit.
I can understand the argument that they don't actively seek it out, as general curiosity will draw children to watch just about anything, but to say they don't care is dumb.

How are we supposed to endure another three years of this?
I think this might be a different thing. In the mid-2000's, before Blu-ray was even a thing, people discovered that the then- current releases had a bunch of small changes to random things, like this and some impact frames where they toned down the size of surprised eyes, and such.
I guess the only thing that surprises me is that they actually managed to get this far before they inevitably caved.
I recently animated a shot for @punchcatstudios.bsky.social's Over The Garden Wall Reanimated project! The 2d portion was animated in Toon Boom Animate and then brought into Maya to simulate Fleischer Studios' multiplane camera setup.

It's as if 4kids sent someone back in time to put it in there to hide a cigarette.
I watched one get in a fight with a plastic bowl last week.
The 21ux has shortcut keys on the side, and I find myself holding the side so that I can both adjust the position of the screen and reach the keys with my thumb. It just feels more natural than reaching to the keyboard and back.
Probably because the priority is "migration" and not the underlying causes that result in migration.
I got my dtz-2100 off Craigslist in 2017, and it's still working fine with Win11 today. Didn't have any issues installing legacy drivers. The only weird quirk mine has is that if the power goes out, I have to disconnect it from its power adapter and plug it back in for Windows to recognize it again.
John Williams also did the soundtrack.

Try drinking a glass of water.
At least it's not the kind that's black and stripey. Those are a little more tricky to set free.
Old water pump. The turbine is missing four out of six blades, and the remaining two have collapsed onto themselves. It probably tickles the coolant more than actually pumping it.
New water pump. No missing blades, very clean.
Okay, maybe I should replace my car's water pump...
It's kind of like the Napoleon Dynamite of anime for band geeks.
Well, you can tell from the math that they are certainly not square meals.
A picture of the drive belt of a 1998 Toyota Tercel. The backing of the belt is peeling up at one end.
I'm not a mechanic, but I'm pretty sure my drive belt shouldn't be doing that.
