Veel op aan te merken, maar het meest opvallend is de kritiek op mission statements. De suggestie is dat universiteiten een soort neutrale marktplaats der ideeën moeten zijn. Maar is het zo raar dat wetenschappelijke consensus (bijv. over klimaatverandering) het universitair beleid mede informeert?

Wetenschappers en studenten stemmen vooral op partijen die niet willen bezuinigen op hoger onderwijs en onderzoek.
