Farrar Pond A peaceful lakeside scene shows a small, weathered house surrounded by tall pine trees on a grassy slope. In the foreground, golden-brown reeds rise from the calm, reflective water. The lake stretches into the distance under a bright blue sky with wispy clouds, creating a serene and natural atmosphere.

Next week there will be another existential boogeyman designed to discourage you from pursuing art. There will always be a mosquito in your ear trying to convince you your creativity has no value. Let this Sora situation be a lesson. Stop getting pushed around by scammers. Make art

love the early 2000s film credits vibes off this track!
G2 geomagnetic strom conditions reached! Lots of clouds here in Reykjavik, and I was in bed reading, but I was able to catch this amazing shot of the diffuse aurora towering out of the clouds and above the rooftops.
Happy hunting tonight, all!

Early spring blossoms and shoots of green leaves on a twiggy tree overlooking the land below.
A blustery 42 F on the mountain today, down from yesterday’s 87!!
Great portrait! It’s got Rembrandt painting vibes
Honourable mention bc this author is just SO good at weaving historical UK settings and details into thriller-horror plots. #worldbookday
My favourite book I've read this year so far! #worldbookday
So cuute!

I’m sat on a boulder holding a flask of peppermint tea, looking down the mountain slope
Mountain tea 💚 (it’s peppermint today)

The rising sun cuts a sharp line of light around the corner of a rocky Shoreline. Tall, spruce trees, rise up from the snow, covered rocks and block the morning sun. The sharp contrast between light and shadow is quite striking and really noticeable on the snow that covers the frozen lake.
Bright morning, sunlight lights up the frost covered trees that grow out and lean over the rocky point that juts into the lake. Everything is covered in bright white snow. A small fishing tent can be seen on the frozen lake just passed the point and below the horizon.
Snow blankets the frozen lake and rock faces along the shoreline while Frost coats the towering spruce and Poplar trees growing a top the cliffs along the shoreline. A small fishing shack sits on the lake and looks tiny against the horizon and blue sky.
Rocky cliff faces are covered in snow along the shore of an equally snow covered lake. Frost covered spruce trees and bear poplars rise up above the cliffs, blocking the morning sun creating blue shadows on the snow. The sun does peek around the corner, creating a sharp line of light along the horizon to the left near the blue sky.
Lovely morning for a snowshoe on the lake around Grindstone Point. The frost wasn’t as thick as in my yard, but still beautiful.
I think it would solve a lot of problems if we went back to the era of the internet when you could just delete rude comments & weird replies off your posts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
a typically shaped snowman with a slight lean and its face partially melted off
a short, more fantasy-inspired snowman with pinecones that look like antennae and a stick that looks like a tail?
a snowman that’s literally just olaf

I loved this arrangement & performance. It usually takes me a couple of listens and some time to understand and appreciate Gaga's particular flavour of artistry... but when one of her songs finally hits, it really HITS.
and When Among Crows by Veronica Roth for urban fantasy! Polish mythology/old gods in a modern setting w/ monster hunter/monster romance. It’s sort of like Romeo and Juliet meets The Witcher, but gay
The Whyborne & Griffin series by Jordan L. Hawk had me in a chokehold last year. Period eldritch sorcery found family vibes. Easily some of my favourite books I’ve ever read! Also Martha Wells’ Witch King, which is more of a high fantasy read.
the new maro record is SO cosy! Love the math rock vibe on this track youtu.be/lD3cYqSdWJE

There’s just nothing like the serenity of being out in a good snow… with a warm coat and a thermos ⛄️ (snowfall on the Hudson river from three? winters ago)
Oh, that's awesome! I would've loved being surrounded by nature through those enormous windows.
Used to drive by this place all the time when I lived in New York! I wish this had been turned into a museum or public park or something… it’s got that Hudson Valley woodsy charm I miss
A candy floss coloured sky over dry winter marshland
Love the smell of crisp wintry air with a hint of someone's fireplace going in the distance
