TBH, they know who these people are and can/do act when it suits - the Gardai foiled a domestic terrorism plot last year. The government have chosen not too for the most part as they've mostly been protesting migrant centres, which the government aren't shy in blaming for housing crisis etc.

I haven't heard one RTE reporter or presenter question any of the protest spokespersons about the underlying racism to some of the rhetoric, the noose being paraded around and calls to "hang em high"
