"Politicians who have spent decades telling you that change is slow, complicated, and incremental should be paying very close attention. Because Zohran Mamdani just called their bluff." @qasimrashid.com

The intractability of our political system to make decisions for all of us. What drives me is the vision of what is possible not hate (Hanson et al.)

No Kings is worth attending for the entertaining signs.
A very concise, plain speaking analysis of current American war mongering diplomacy ..

Tribalism, taking sides, 'othering' is not very helpful in a strong democracy. The ON voters are clearly very dissatisfied with politics - so am I and I am definitely no fan of ON. We can do so much better. There is a lot of common ground with our problems and aspirations
How bad does the Liberal Party have to get before they are no longer called a major Party? While I am at it, why doesn't priority in reporting reflect a Party's integrity, future vision and policies. This should be about a Party's ability to do a good job for our population.
Thank you. Very interesting.
Our society is undergoing massive change driven by inequality. This is having a progressive negative effect on living standards. An insightful interview between Nick McKim and British economist Gary Stevenson #auspol

Do we really want a world where the strong can do as they please and the weak suffer as they must? I wrote for The Guardian today about why Australia shouldn’t stand for this, and why international law matters for a middle power like Australia #auspol #politas

Sickening ……
We're all using the hashtag #IranWar. If we used a hashtag that names the aggressor, the list would be:
#IsraelWar1 #IsraelWar2 #IsraelWar3
#USWar1 #USWar2 #USWar3 #USWar4 #USWar5 ... #Israel #USA #Iran
You may feel the Australian government is not working for us ie ordinary families, pensioners, tradespeople, employees - then you would be right. The AIM article is very well researched
If you are lucky enough to have superannuation and care about the future, which I would like to think most of us do, knowing where you money is invested counts
Trump just jacked up tariffs against Australia by 50% (from 10 to 15%) as a late night reflex action to the Supreme Court decision. We matter so little in his world view. Can we stop pretending now, not a friend, not an ally.
Cost of living crisis - we have a tax collection and corporate greed problem, which is a much clearer view of what is going on. Language counts.

Another attack on the democracy we took for granted. Another 'don't look away' moment

Insiders is such a waste of time. There is the Sunday Shot live on YouTube at 9am. Such a wonderful line up each week
Yes. And the profits can be well earned. It is when greed, price gouging and little to no appropriate tax is paid and it doesn’t come back in government services that we all have a problem
Anyone think the Police are the victims here? The ability to protest poor political decision making is fundamental to a healthy democracy. Australians don’t support genocide and we must make sure we have politicians that understand this

It is sad that the ABC is lost to many Australians. It is still ours though and we must get its integrity back
Indeed. The Liberal Nats have basically been solution free, divisive and dishonest for many years. It is fitting. They are entitled to one headline only from here ie. ‘The Liberals have no further role in politics’
It’s as though the ABC think they are important. They haven’t had decent policy for years and have used dishonesty and division as their key political tools. They shouldn’t be in any parliaments. I vaguely care for the ABC but not this sort of coverage
Inequality is driving some very poor political decision making. The trickle down economics experiment has failed. It is comforting when some very wealthy people agree #auspol
