back in the 80s I used to record the audio from doctor who episodes and rewatch them in my head. I am not sure i like having so much at my fingertips all the time.

I must point out—hopefully not interpreted rudely—that i haven’t actually touched this project in 30 years. So there hasn’t been 30 years of direct development. Possibly mentally but for many projects sometimes there is an aspect i can’t grasp until sometime later. I admit 30ys is pushing it tho ha!

Fun fact: this is one of my first major (shelved) projects conceptualized over 30 years ago! I made dozens of preliminary sketches of many of the beasties—less imaginative then now but shelved it until i could work out the narrative… 30 years later here we are! 🫣😃

Oh yes! And his ferrets! I have drunk many times ‘The Last of The Summer Wine’ and dozens other British comedies. PBS used to play quite a few but now it’s only the calamities of the Buckets if even that.

In the 90s i watched the ‘ell out of “East Enders” the only soap opera i ever watched. ❤️

I am a worldly fellow so I am quite versed in British culture. Not to the point i could adapt but it all goes in the construct of me.

Someone pointed out i had adopted two Irish tendencies. Saying “ah no!” to hearing bad news and calling movies “fil-lems”. I had picked up from Father Ted Haha

Well, i only made mention because they call them ‘pickled beets’ and ‘pickled eggs’ and not some truncated or brief variation that actually eliminates the item being pickled like they do with pickled cucumbers.

Bread is fascinating going from gain to dough to bread to toast or bagel or bun, roll.

It is a delightfully whimsical word alright. I try to revive many a whimsical word in my work that has fallen out of use.
