- He chimed with a grin while allowing her to tug him behind her once again. That smile on those lips of her's made him wish he were kissing them again, but he hopefully wouldn't have to wait much longer for that!

If anything, Hau didn't want to be seen kissing her by too many people out in the open, so anywhere either of them could think of that few to nobody would be likely to go would be ideal to him. When she expressed an idea of someplace to go, his brows raised with intrigue.

"Oh? Lead the way, Mizu!"-

-little far. If only there were somewhere just a little closer nobody else can see us."

He then guided her with him by the hand out of the shop while giving the shopkeeper a wave and a sheepish grin. There was definitely a bit of haste to his movement, a clear sign of his eagerness for her.

"Of course! Back at my place!"

He paused to think for a moment.

". . Though that might be a -

His eyes widened with embarrassment as soon as he heard the shopkeeper clear their throat, but he simply chuckled it off with her.

"Not a bad idea. Good thing I already know just the place."

- It was like he was dreaming, but he couldn't have been happier that he wasn't.

A soft laugh slipped out at what she said, finding her shy tone and body language oddly adorable. Amongst other things.

"Well, who says we can't pretend there is?"

That hand still on her head stroked gently through the back of her hair as a part of him was still in disbelief this was happening.-

—the comfort her closeness brought him was enough to keep him calm otherwise. He held their kiss for just a moment longer before he pulled back to look into her eyes, almost longingly.

"I think I got it."

Being honest, Hau hadn't ever kissed anyone before either, which was why he was glad Mizuki was the first person he tried it on. Much to his relief, she appeared to like it. His body would heat up feeling her melt into him.

His chest was pounding the whole time, but the softness of her lips and —

"I was hoping you'd ask."

His lips curved into a warm smile taking one last look into her eyes, before he took the plunge and leaned inward.

His eyes lidded firmly shut while his lips planted themselves up against her's, whereas that hand on her cheek began to run its fingers through her hair.

— reached for her side to support her. He looked down to her face and blinked a couple times once she pulled back again. His gaze seemed to linger upon her lips...

"...You know, I think I missed a spot on you."

The more she acted so cute like thus, the more his grip on himself began to slip. How her face leaned into his palm was enough to make his heart pound against his chest, but he wasn't ready for what she did after.

His eyes widened when she began to lick around his mouth, to which his now free hand—

-of hair behind her hear, his gaze unable to pull away from her face the more he looked. Just to keep himself calm, he stuffed the rest of his malasada in his mouth, which only made a bit of a mess of his own face...

His eyes widened feeling her lick his finger clean, his heart almost skipping a beat as his body jolted with shock. He looked to the hand he just used to help her, and then back to her face.

"I... Me too. Glad we're already making some nice memories as adults, huh?"

That hand then tucked a lock -

- some crumbs that got on her face.

Hau's cheeks were darker than ever, both at what she had to say and from the feeling of her leaning against his taller body. He knew exactly what they'd look like to anyone who'd be looking, and it was flustering him deep down.

"Mhm. I remember like it was yesterday."

He reached over to wipe away-

— still as special to you as they were before!"

"Well, I don't suppose you can change what's already perfect."

That feeling was definitely mutual, although it was one that Hau was a little more familiar with. He'd bite his tongue on the matter though.

"Unless you mean you thought /your/ tastes would've changed. In which case, it's nice they're—

He couldn't help but let a giggle slip out at her reaction while he took a sizeable bite from his own treat. It made him so happy to see such excitement in her eyes.

"I'm glad they haven't lost their touch!"

He chimed, before taking another bite of his malasada.

"Thank you!"

He took the malasada she offered to him and nodded to her with a nice big grin on his face.

"Trust me, they're just as great as they always are! It'll be a nice taste of home sweet home."
