A written review of One Flew Over The Dragon's Nest by Bosloe. I feel like Dragon Quest had a baby with LOTR, and the child is growing up to be Wolverine with a greater sense of humour. The two MCs, Dave and SJ, complement each other beautifully; the dialogue between them is a beautiful creation of humour....and totally migraines for each other. The world-building is beautifully orchestrated gradually, and the gamelit components remind me of Dragon Quest or the monsters to an extent, but it is entirely original and fresh. I've placed this book in my collection close to my heart and can't wait for the sequel. I never would have thought a Fae assassin would grasp my attention, but the author has the skill to create authentic characters with such flair. It has been placed with my Mount Rushmore of awesomeness.
This makes me so happy 😁
