Finished drafting the #FaBTCG duos cube tonight. Dorinthea/Ira won by combining Edge with Perforate, Twist and Turn, and Edict to make explosive turns happen

Last week, it was big dumb Pleiades/Kayo juggling suspense, confidence, and pummels

I've been steadily updating this and it's very close to finalized. Me and gf believe this is the best #fabtcg cube out there.

I even assembled an archetype guide to give an idea of what you can do. shorturl.at/oMlaJ

Lexi wouldn't count? Why would card legality matter for cosplay. Crazy that it does

Seriously, what are they thinking with this new cosplay system?

Ridiculous happy about this. Hell, the best thing about Omens is a clear follow up to the plotlines in Rathe.

Not to be too slanderous, but the Elestrals team never looked like professionals in the ways that count and this is the biggest tell on yourself moment.

It always looked like ADrive just wanted Pokemon 2 and settle for his TCG being Yu-Gi-Oh 2

As much as I don't like SAge, at least the CC in PEN is shaping up to be interesting. Shame I probably won't be able to do a PQ (I have Saturday off and all nearby PQs are Sundays)

Yeah. It's a good set for back filling stuff heroes need. But as a product on a shelf to buy, it's absolutely terrible. I regret buying it and wish I just did hemel orders. But I felt priced in by the antiquity pack, which somehow isn't worth it.

Anyone who does try this cube out, please message me with input. It'll help me tweak this for the next major update.

The Fab Cube A cube builder and card database for Flesh and Blood TCG!

I updated my GF's #fabtcg cube for PEN. Behold, Duos Cube!

The gimmick? 5 heroes & you have 2 hero zones. Get an MtG-like draft & some very illegal combos

Anothos w/ Dori's extra swing. Crouching Tiger backed by RKO. Guardian 6s in Brute

Please enjoy!

Okay, after testing and going through the first pq. I hate SAge, this format sucks and I don't know if it's salvageable. Lot of things I don't like about it are just systemic issues with cutting majestics and cutting life to 20. I legit had more fun with blitz last time

Made a mistake, it's 25k, total PotY funds were 100k... New thought, did Brodie spend more in travel expenses than the money he got back from PotY?

2 months ago 1 0 0 0

(Admittedly, this is a very American perspective. It's prohibitively expensive to travel here and the economics of American LGSs are a big hindrance to small games)

2 months ago 1 0 0 0

How? Funds to help LGSes make big swings. LGS wants a 1k? LSS matches it for a 2k. LGS doesn't have 100 seats, but it's a good location to travel to? Help them find rental space, maybe even subsidize

Most of us won't 'See the World'; next best thing is getting FaB's world to us

Pro Circuit is incredibly top heavy & propping micro-celebrities prob isn't the best use of money. IMO, it's still risky to support FaB at the store level & that needs fixing. LSS could mitigate some of that risk to encourage stores to put more effort in.

Instead, we got Player of the Year, aka Brodie Spurlock's 100k sponsorship. Someone else could have taken it hypothetically, but...let's be honest, "See the World" part of the motto could only be fulfill by wealthy people with infinite time to spare.

At LGS level, there's no cash prize. For an MtG, that doesn't matter because every store runs it & some stores are big enough to throw cash around. FaB doesn't have that luxury, but more cash tournaments would absolutely pull the type of comp player that's in Riftbound atm

This is..."a step in the right direction"

It got me thinking about "Play the Game, See the World", Player of the Year, and our prize structure. I think we might need a deeper integration into the lower circuit other TCGs haven't done.

What? That's a debate? I thought that was obvious post Bonds. Like, immediately after the ban obvious

Is that live commentary recorded anywhere? I'd like to hear some perspective from someone not high on the supply.

Some of these announcements were wild

Merry Christmas #fabtcg! Here's my Christmas present to y'all. One of FaB's oldest memes canonized.

Files below for you to mess around with. I intend to turn them into flyers local and have the xcf/psd available too.

Holy fuck. All they needed to do was get a photo of the strip. How do you fail that and use ai?

4 months ago 1 0 1 0

Yeah. I had to make a similar choice and they fell.

Shop 1 basically had no 'native' regulars and pretty awful pricing

Shop 2 had a couple tentpole players, but they refused to engage with any other shop, or wider community. Moment they quit to move onto the next game, the shop dumped FaB

To tell on myself, some of this concern is very personal. Locally, FaB would've died a fad in '22 if my bro & I weren't at every armory. Back of my mind, I worry FaB can still die if I don't maintain it

My job's forced my hand. I can't help at the same capacity anymore

2024 was so strong & it looked like we'd take off post-HNT; was expecting it all year. But '25 ended up like '23, a rough patch to ride out

We can rebound, but we're burning through LGSs & players as we stumble, that could hurt in the long run

I really like PEN & SAge is necessary to capture & retain newbies. It's uncertain if we can establish SAge here

There's a soft 3 Armory limit before numbers tanks & each Armory is someone's only CC event. I'm advocating for SAge events before PEN drops, but people lack time

No Prerelease brought new players in beyond that event. Hell, Gen Con is next to us & only 1 person showed for 1 armory due to it

Product-wise, FaB sets w/ gimmicks don't sell. Less newbies (& regulars) showed for SEA & SUP. I doubt a non-player bought Smash Palace locally

6 isn't enough to replace decay for our size of community, esp w/ our Super Players playing less

Dawn, my bro, & I played 3 armories a week & now it's just me at 1 armory a week. Others who did 2 a week are tapped out & playing less too (often cause of sets not hitting)

Of the 42 newbies this year, only ~6ish stuck. Some reasons
- 2 LGSs dropped FaB bc they had no store advocates &/or ineffective player advocates (weren't even showing up)
- Flakey newbies making large buy ins, then ghosting (way too common & I can't explain why)

Wanna talk about my #fabtcg Louisville Armory data a little early

It's hard to square how FaB is growing so much this year, but our scene's growth here is pretty fake and it's actually on a noticeable decline
