This highlights some aspects of detention and release that get lost behind the headlines; the lack of basic humanity: clean clothes, a travel warrant, I.D., funds, etc. I live in the UK where Land's End to John O'Groats is 15 hours + rests. Dumping someone several days away from home is inhumane.

🚵♀️ In the UK, drivers are told to allow 1½ metres clearance for cyclists, but where painted line cycle lanes are installed, drivers see the cyclist as being in a different lane and don't adhere to the clearance rule. My take: if a small child can't safely use a cycle lane, it's not fit for purpose. 🚲
Do they catch up? Is full development slower, but 'gets there eventually' or is development curtailed?
They are not on my algorithm.
I would get people to register as smokers; purchase an annual licence so they can buy cigarettes or vapes, that includes the rolling age barrier. The licence would go on medical records. Foreign tourists can show their passport to purchase a temporary licence.
I miss these little guys!
'Twas ever thus, but power is getting more consolidated. They are trying to control social media too now. www.mediareform.org.uk/media-owners...
Israel's grass roots international support comes from the American Bible belt, who can ignore the sanitised Fox TV reports on genocide, but see themselves and their faith being attacked when a Jesus statue is mutilated. Israel knows this, so makes their disapproval (and the sentence) publicly known.
Seventeen years!! 😦 Happy 21st! 💝
This is what "Draining the Swamp" looks like.

Taser is supposed to be a last resort when a candidate for arrest is an immediate danger to themselves and/or others. I realise this is supposed to be humour but it has the taint of the worst jokes of my 1960s childhood. Still desensitised by Victorian values & war, we laughed at dehumanising jokes.
Yes, they've done some good, but it's the glaring Tory elements of Starmer's Labour I don't understand: Private ownership of NHS assets, Propping up water companies instead of de-privatising, locking up Palestine protesters, shovelling the tax burden towards the poorest not the richest come to mind.
Curious to find out if you get through your viva voce defence without a punch in the face.
Precis of post by Shawn Ryan: When America finally collapses it won't be stunned by the greed of the rich but the loyalty of the poor, voting against their own interests, worshipping the billionaires whe robbed them, happy because it would hurt someone else more than it hurt them.
Emails released on Monday by California’s attorney general show Amazon allegedly colluding with other companies to raise the prices of pet treats, khaki pants, eyedrops and other products sold online
Me, sitting in the UK, thinking how fkd-up that is. Even air ambulances are free here; set up after the NHS was formed and run as charities because we can't conceive of it being a chargeable service. Example: www.wiltshirebathairambulance.org.uk
Popular artificial intelligence programs told users where to find alternative, potentially dangerous treatments for cancer and other health scenarios.

PEOPLE NEED TO STOP treating AI like it knows anything. It's like the bloke at the bar who, in his long drinking hours, has heard lots of stuff and is happy to regurgitate it and answer all your questions, usually with the first thing that enters his head. AI's bar-room chat is just mega-multiplied.
Happy Birthday!

See the foreign donations bill gets through successfully.
So ... what I think happened, and makes sense of (I think) all the different accounts so far is ...
Starmer was actually reluctant about Mandelson, and would have not appointed him given a reason.
McSweeney made sure he was not given a reason.

Gathering of the pirate leaders in Pirates of the Caribbean sequel.
Yes, we guessed that. But, fiction or not, we get him!
Just put book exchanges in bus amd rail stations. I remember when people on trains were reading instead of doomscrolling.
Someone get him a library card! This reminds me of the sort of daft trouble kids got into at school when their ADHD was unmedicated. Of course, this story does not appear in genuine news feeds (much to my disappointment).
