Apply that to software development. As creating custom software becomes easier and faster with AI, we’ll end up building more not less.
We’ll Build more and Buy less. Getting exactly what we want without compromises.
Leading to the need for more Builders.
Jevons Paradox is the idea that as something becomes more efficient to use, we use it more not less.
As gas engines became more efficient, we traveled more not less. Which used more fuel.
Internet bandwidth. Never been cheaper or faster. And we use it more than ever due to streaming.
Software dev job postings are growing… Jevons Paradox here we come!
This is a hybrid event so you can attend in person or online.
Hope to see you there!

In 45 minutes I’ll be talking about “You’re doing Agile right, but agile wrong” in Room 1 at NDC London.
Yes we are still talking about agile in 2026.
Somewhere along the way we lost sight of the Manifesto, but I’ll bring it all back and tell you what I’ve seen work and doesn’t.
Any senior .NET devs looking for a new gig? We’ve got openings doing some pretty impactful stuff.
My DMs are open.
Half way home back to Iowa. I had a blast at @codemash.bsky.social
Special shout out to 5 of the people from my workshop who filled out feedback! Really appreciate you taking the time to do so.
Sidenote to other CodeMash speakers that you can find Feedback in Sessionize!
What the Lorax says also applies to software and just business in general:
New course alert 🎉
It's taken me over 2 years of creating courses to finally go back to my roots.
Want to learn how to build .NET apps on #AWS? This is the course for you. In it, you'll learn about the core services you need to care about to build on AWS.

Me: “Comments from Copilot Reviews are helpful about 50% of the time.”
The other 50%:
Just passing along if you take it yourself, you’ll need to know a lot more than what’s on the practice exam.
I took the exam cold given I teach people at conferences and on Dometrain.com about GitHub Actions. I wanted to see if I could pass without extra study. The only thing I did before was took the practice exam.
While it worked out, the practice exam was nothing like the real thing.
Going live here less than 10 minutes to talk about “Test Driven Development with Blazor” at @jetbrains.com .NET Days!
Many people say you can't TDD frontends. They're wrong because I've done it for years.

Looking forward to speaking at @ndcconferences.com London in January on "You're doing Agile right, but agile wrong."
I'll be sharing lessons learned from working with companies on how to achieve true agility, not just a checklist.
Yes we're still talking about agile in 2026! 🥲
That’s a lot of tokens
