Nah, can’t make this one. Travelling for work this week and I’m needed as a dad taxi today. I’ll try to make another one in the future.

A phrase that could have been used for multiple leaders in several countries on many occasions now and in the past. “Why has nobody stopped him?”
My accountant doesn’t normally want my stuff until the autumn. I’ve promised myself I’d get all the info ready by the summer.
They didn’t send me a contract either, but I have declined the last few years for being too busy.
Nothing a plumber won’t be able to fix.
My fairly unsheltered front garden was completely fine. My sheltered yarden - apocalyptic mess.
Yep, my wife had tutees that would just get AI to write an essay and then try to pass it off as their own. Back then it was even more obvious! Now AI it can recognise misconceptions in an answer and suggest improvements based on that answer.
Not quite yet. There still needs the be a human element to check the resource for mistakes, but it can make creation easier and quicker. AI is happening and getting better every week - i’m working with it in EdTech and its evolving exponentially.
Which is why humans are and will still be important. But AI will be able to do lot.
If students want to do better and are willing to let AI help them, then it can.
Dave broke the kitchen waste pipe in my yard! I assume is was the flying yarden furniture that did it. Nothing open today so had to duct tape it together until I can get the parts.
You’d be surprised what AI can do in terms of checking for understanding and responding with constructive feedback.
Dave gave the yarden a bit of a beating last night.
Some very cool things featured here.
Oooooooo! Very nice.
I’ve scratched the face, which is annoying, but it’s still a nice watch.

Me too, the straps tend to break before the battery runs out (which is never!). I think I bought a few from Amazon when they were about £10. I’ve got a nice metal strap one too for special occasions.
The peacocks were re-homed a few years ago when they moved from High Holborn. I believe the helicopters are going on Facebook Marketplace.
Maths4everyone has some nice stuff.
This was easier on the old place! I’ll keep searching too.
Cheers, already looked at TSL (my main employer) and Mathsgenie. Was hoping for an exam wizard style search engine of topics. I know drfrostmaths has a lot of primary questions too. I wondered if there had been someone that had complied them all into a nice doc or webpage.
There are plenty of good ones out there, I like some of the older ones that you could put on loop. These are the ones I used. www.mathopenref.com/constbisecta... Probably fancier ones out there now.
Return to work meeting with the vampire.
What are the best sources of organised KS2 past questions?
Best lessons I had with that topics was when I had them watching animations of them on an iPad while practicing and then they had to create their own step-by-step instruction sheet. Was lucky to have enough iPads for pairs.
It shows the importance of the explanation of what a linear relationship is and the many different forms that it can take.
Poster: Beach Spectres, we want to make the largest aperiodic tiling ever! What's an aperiodic tiling? It's when you cover a flat surface with copies of a shape like the one above, without any repeating patterns. The Spectre monotile was only discovered in 2023, and mathematicians are really excited about it! What are you doing? We're going to use large “cookie cutter” tools in the shape of the Spectre to cover the beach with the aperiodic tiling. You can help: come to the beach and we'll show you what to do. Where and when? Whitley Bay beach, 7th June 2026. Come and join in, just watch, or talk to some very enthusiastic mathematicians! beachspectres.com
I'm enormously happy to finally be able to announce the date of the #BeachSpectres project: 7th June, 2026. #WhitleyBay beach, UK.
If you can make it to the beach and join in with the tiling effort, I'll be very happy to see you and glad of the help!
Lots […]
