Tuba and sousaphone! Miraphone 186 from around 1965 in front of my roughly 1975 built King 2350 sousaphone! The tuba arrived this week, and I’m excited to start playing it.

My new-to-me tuba arrived today! It's a 61 year old Miraphone 186 tuba with a detachable recording bell. 4 rotary valves. Pretty fun! I'm spending a lot of time on sousaphone/tuba these days, though trombone is my primary instrument. I've really enjoyed picking up tuba/sousaphone.

Took my new-to-me Pentax PC35AF-M point and shoot camera out to the Austin FC game this weekend get some shots. Used Kodak Tri-X 400 and developed it at home with Kodak D-76. Enjoyed using it, though I need to make more use of the +1.5EV button on top.

Pregame at the Austin FC vs DC United game on March 1st at Q2 stadium. I've started brining the Yamaha bass trombone to games, and it's fun to play (was playing a Getzen trigger tenor before).

Thanks for the feedback, I'll definitely check out Monster of the Week. It looks fun! Our D&D group is a mix of folks with tons of TTRPG experience and some with no previous experience. It actually has worked pretty well. This is basically a group of trombonists from the band that I play with!

What TTRPGs are your favorites at the moment? I was out of TTRPG for a couple of decades, but joined a D&D 5e (2014) campaign as a player a couple of years ago and it's been really great to get back to it. I've been looking at Star Trek Adventures or Achtung! Cthulhu as another platform to try.

Picked up another point and shoot that I’ve been thinking about getting for a while. It’s a Pentax PC35AF-M. It is built like a tank! 35mm/f2.8 lens which is pretty nice. Also uses AA batteries so that makes things easier.

I loaded it with Kodak Tri-X 400 so that I can test it.

Found a very inexpensive Praktica MTL5B via Goodwill. Seems to be in decent shape. I’m going to run a test roll of Tri-X through it and see how it does.
