HHS shuttered the Division of Viral Hepatitis in the CDC's headquarters, saying that it is duplicative, when it is a unique lab with unique capabilities. Ongoing investigations of current hepatitis outbreaks have been stalled nationwide. Now we don't know where we have an outbreak at all.
