This was a funny, light read and the audiobook was PHENOMENAL. I enjoyed the FMC so much, the banter, the inner monologue, the longing 👌🏻 I think this might be my favorite AH book yet.

I struggled for the first 45/50% of the book, but that church scene pulled me in (and it’s the only reason this is a 3 instead of 2 star read for me 😅)

Overall it lacked the witty banter, fun playful and unseriousness that Lights Out had. It could’ve been so much better.

When I started this at the beginning of May I was in a reading slump after dealing with horrendous allergies. Started 7 different books in the span of two weeks, this was the one that stuck and I’m so glad it did.

It was SO fun. Audiobook was just pure joy.

Love in Focus was cute. I loved Gemma but Celeste felt very one dimensional. I also listed to the audiobook and the narrator for Celeste was so bad. I fear I would have enjoyed this so much more had it not been an audio.

This is how you do character work. It’s clever, witty, and so funny.

The characters were so well written, the dysfunctional family dynamics had me in a chokehold. They’re so bad, but so loveable. I absolutely loved this from beginning to end. Just masterfully done.
