Actually ignorance and small mindedness should be illegal.
Notwithstanding that the familiar person that follows the intolerant account is plain up cruel.

Ah, the black soul of the foul clenger lives on within select UCP bureaucrats in vain attempts at cleansing the detritus that spews so easily and so readily.

Just as a fish rots from the head down, there will always be foul clengers trying to cover the stench of rot.

It is a bit rich when asked about floor crossers Poilievre states "...put the people back in charge of our democracy rather than having dirty backroom deals." Yet he declined to respect the democratic decision of Carleton voters and forged his own backroom deal in Battle River-Crowfoot.

'MAID is not death on demand': Physicians decry proposed Alberta assistance in dying bill | CBC News Some health-care workers who either directly provide medical assistance in dying or work in that field say they are strongly opposed to Bill 18 — which, if passed, would prevent doctors or nurse pract...

Ah, the UCP government of Alberta continues their march of cruelty and fealty to their nonsecular base with the proposed Bill 18. Such hypocrisy, their disregard for the rights of individuals to determine, with their physician, when they shuffle off this mortal coil.

Great answer Guy. My contribution is: compassion and understanding.

Great work in this piece. The tangled mess becomes ever more murky. It is sad that the subcontractors may end up without payment. The alleged dealings by those in control would not be out of place within organized crime rackets. I wouldn't be surprised if there were no show jobs in this mess

Great investigation. Notwithstanding the volumes of potable water consumption, I am flabbergasted by the sheer amount of electricity required to operate these data centres. Cannot help to wonder if these data centres are the Springfield equivalent of Lyle Lanley's monorail.

Geat summary of the process. It appears the Premier behaves as a poster child of compromisability, by giving life to many conspiracy theories. I find it interesting that the Premier is seeking information about the possibility of foreign interference. Maybe she can ask her pals Modry and Rath.

I wish to compare this behavior of the UCP Premier and their ilk in this regard to those of hogs wallowing at a trough. However doing so is a great disservice to hogs.

Wow, witnessing real time example of the Dunning-Kruger effect. Priceless, yet not wholly unexpected.

To his credit, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had a career before entering politics. Whereas all Poilievre has known is living off the public dime. No life experience outside of politics. The quintessential insider/freeloader given his lack of any accomplishments outside of griping and rage farming

Ah, the crux of the matter is described in the last sentence of the second paragraph: "... updated rates and processes to modernize ARP were submitted...to Minister LaGrange." Is it a wonder that the TLP proposal is in difficulty.

I would not be surprised if Alberta Precison Labs one day becomes MH Care Labs

An incredible piece in the Guardian. How did democracies get to a place where wealthy individuals have incredible sway over elected individuals for financial benefit. Although on a lesser scale, it appears the same occurs in Alberta between the Premier and a wealthy controversial individual.

Wow, I read this statement and just about filled my buzzword bingo card. With all the coordination, cooperation and collaboration among the four independent health ministries. If only this could be accomplished under one comprehensive Alberta Health Services provider. Ah, but a pipe dream.

Question, was there a big whoosh sound, like the sound of a very large toilet flush in Alberta this morning when Trump opined about US oil companies going back into Venezuela and investing billions into their heavy oilsands?

The Premier's impression of Sargent Schultz is bang on:

Teach a man who hates socialism and votes for authoritarianism to farm and he can receive socialist handouts for life from the government that bankrupted him in the first place.

Indeed. Seems authoritarians mostly subscribe to the same school of logic to justify their dystopian policies. This includes the UCP government

So far the UCP has called into question and dog whistled: science, public education, public health, vote counting process, law enforcement (RCMP), now the judiciary. They strive to create the 'other', that includes vulnerable populations, immigrants, those with addiction challenges. Propagandists

Once again, the Premier on behalf of the UCP attempting to suck and blow at once.

Having read the CBC News piece, I find it amusing that not once, but twice Kenney makes reference to NDP provincial governments, in an attempt assuage concerns about recall. Then, predictably trots out the evil spectre of activist judges. Sheesh

With the words that the UCP banned in names of political parties, I bet there will be disgruntled UCP members happy that the two words 'national' and 'socialist' are not banned for inclusion in party names. Hey, they can even combine those two with 'workers party' and show their true beliefs

Fascist and authoritarian governments rely heavily on propaganda to win public support for their undemocratic strategies.

4 months ago 2 0 0 0

Let's see now, the UCP stripped away the civil rights and human rights from teachers and trans youths, they've made life more difficult for those with disabilities, they undermine universities and now, they want to place limits on political opponents. Wait until they have their police force

No sense meeting in the middle in fairness, when the UCP can goose step over to use the notwithstanding clause thereby selecting an extreme end and eschew fairness while boot stomping Charter Rights. Welcome to the UCP Gleichschaltung.

Let's see, ban words, ban books, stomp Charter Rights of children and of workers, creating loopholes for UCP legislators, interfering with municipal politics, interfering with the manner of vote counting, creating their own police force. When will the UCP thugs table their version of an Enabling Act
