Did it years and years ago. Would love to do it again, but I’m not fit and able enough these days!

Back in 1971, we had a couple of Iranian lads joining my all white Liverpudlian primary school class. As part of the “How to make them feel welcome” talk, I remember being told to invite them to play football, not “footie”. Don’t know why that particular bit stuck in my head!

The last two events were brilliant, but took a lot of organising and cost a lot of money.

You can’t go encouraging people to join a mass bike ride while at the same time saying “It’s nothing to do with me, Guv.”

Dave Day 3 to remember Hairy Biker Myers to be the last event Organisers of Dave Day 3 say there have been problems securing funding for the event.

“We are simply riding with some mates up to Barrow and if you choose to join us that is completely up to your own volition.” Hmm… not sure this works as a way of getting out of your legal safety obligations.

Especially when you “want to make it the biggest”.
