Starmer will not be swayed by Trump’s ‘small and petty’ insults, says Lammy Exclusive: deputy PM says UK will not join Iran conflict despite Trump’s sometimes ‘incomprehensible’ social-media barbs

Neither did we. A fork was all we needed. She also used a milk bottle to roll out pastry.

Just remembered my (lovely! And still a friend) university flatmate Kate, when I was making a veggie shepherd’s pie.

“We can’t have mashed potatoes, because we don’t have a potato masher!”

Ahead of St George’s Day I was joined by interfaith leaders from across London. We came together to celebrate all that unites us and affirm the flag of St George as a symbol that belongs to us all 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The NHS has ordered staff not to use the term "It's raining cats & dogs" as it may offend foreigners.
Tough
If you don't like it jog on is what I think
The NHS needs to get back to concentrating on making people better & not being more concerned about offending

For the love of God, could the "common sense" brigade PLEASE develop some actual COMMON SENSE?!

No, the NHS has not ordered staff not to use the term "it's raining cats and dogs" for fear of either upsetting or offending anyone...

Please engage your brains for a minute🙏

Back in 1971, we had a couple of Iranian lads joining my all white Liverpudlian primary school class. As part of the “How to make them feel welcome” talk, I remember being told to invite them to play football, not “footie”. Don’t know why that particular bit stuck in my head!

The last two events were brilliant, but took a lot of organising and cost a lot of money.

You can’t go encouraging people to join a mass bike ride while at the same time saying “It’s nothing to do with me, Guv.”

Dave Day 3 to remember Hairy Biker Myers to be the last event Organisers of Dave Day 3 say there have been problems securing funding for the event.

“We are simply riding with some mates up to Barrow and if you choose to join us that is completely up to your own volition.” Hmm… not sure this works as a way of getting out of your legal safety obligations.

Especially when you “want to make it the biggest”.
