I’m still getting the hang of shaders currently so I don’t think I’d be able to optimise it as well as someone very experienced, it would be great if someone could as it’s very nice to have SSR on mobile renderer and this implementation looks really nice!

@shadecore.bsky.social I love your post-process reflections ssr shader, but the performance is really heavy on mobile, especially if looking straight down. is there a way of optimising it? i’m not entirely sure why it’s so slow when looking down (maybe it causes it to recursively render too much?)

I was wondering if this would be a way of getting better performance and more accurate ssr on mobile if it could be made into a quad effect that works on regular materials, similar to how your shader does?

I use Studio One too, but I’ve used Reaper over the years a lot, I have it setup to look like Acid Pro from the early 00’s and it’s a lot of fun if you modify the controls and UI/menus
